Arrived sat for weekend Xmas shopping trip with my daughter booked the executive suite through late rooms it was brilliant large trendy unusual furry curtains beautiful decor . Impressed my teenage daughter previous trip advisor comments I felt unfair. The blonde receptionist was very polite and helpful settled in and went out to the high street which was literally around... More

Although the staff was very nice the hotel was disappointing. To start with we were happy to find a small fridge in our room only to find it wasn't working and had a 6 day old sandwich in it that looked like a science project. The room needed updating. It looked like shag carpet had been used for drapes and... More

We stayed heer for one night and arrived in the evening, we departed the hotel the next day. A week later i noticed the hotel had charged my card for a second day's parking without my consent. If the hotel was nice I wouldn't have minded paying £12 for 24 hours parking but the rooms were very tatty and worn.... More

I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel. Our stay, for one night, was THE worst experience of an overnight stay. The reception staff were very helpful but must feel as if they are fighting a loosing battle. Our room was was tatty, dirty, and noisey. The furry curtains I couldn't touch, they made me itch just looking... More

I love good design, but could not work out how anyone was given a go ahead with this concept- the overall feeling was a cross between a Scandinavian kindergarten and a tarted up Polish borstal. For the former everything was done in ill chosen pastel colours, especially pink and grey, with big Janet and John book style writing on everything... More

We found the hotel almost comical. I think they were trying to be trendy, but failed... the rooms are decorated like something off of a Sesame Street set... with Cookie Monster's blue fur as the curtains. I'll include a few pictures. You have to see it... We felt it was better to just laugh it off... too crazy looking to... More

We booked this room as we were visiting family in Cheltenham & our usual hotel (Holiday Inn Express) was fully booked. The Big Sleep is in a great location, just behind Cheltenham's Main Street. The meant that we didn't need to hire a car and were able to get around on foot. However, as the hotel is just behind the... More

We stayed here for a hen party on a Saturday night. I managed to get a spot in the tiny underground car park which was handy. The guy on reception was really helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and clean, though I wasn't fond of the furry curtains and the sliding glass bathroom door. Breakfast wasn't great and the... More

If you're planning a stay in Cheltenham, stay away from the Big Sleep Hotel! You've been warned. It isn't "chic" it isn't "affordable" and it certainly IS NOT "cool" as their strapline would have you believe. Breakfast was absolutely HORRENDOUS! Undercooked bacon and no eggs. When I asked a member of staff about the eggs, I got a flat "no,... More

I'm local (literally 15 miles away) but staying here for the night worked out the same cost as a return taxi, so why not! What can I say - the curtains are FAB (and have to be mentioned!). Good, clean, nice location. All in all a good hotel.
