This delightful B&B is exceptional - clean, beautifully decorated (all 'butler-themed' which the owners have collected with great enjoyment and taste) and both Guy and Rob were warm and welcoming. Lovely room, well-appointed bathroom (good shower) and delicious breakfast. A real gem.

What a lovely and clean place Butlers is. From the pot of tea on arrival and the lovely welcome we received. We stayed in Stevens which was spotless, very nicely decorated as was the rest of the house and a view over the garden. Lovely quiet street. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. (Thank you Lucy) We... More

My husband, brother and sister in law & I spent 2 nights at Butlers 3 weekends ago. I can only echo what others have said about this place. The owners were away so the delightful Sarah and hubby....breakfast chef...and jolly excellent that was too..looked after us as well as the owners would have done I'm sure. The rooms were lovely,... I stayed at Butlers for one night and everything about it was a sheer delight! My hosts were both friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful and my breakfast truly delicious. The little details throughout the B&B were uplifting, tasteful and so thoughtfully chosen. This "home from home" made my stay in Cheltenham a real treat and I would return... More

This is a perfect place to stay, it's a shame we were only there overnight. It's a beautiful regency house with spacious, elegantly decorated rooms, large and comfortable beds and good showers. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and returned my sons cap swiftly and with the minimum of fuss when he left it behind on our departure (thank you... More

From the helpful assistance when booking, right though to the final goodbye, Butlers offered a perfect stay in Cheltenham. The entire property is thoughtfully, tastefully and stylishly decorated throughout. The hosts are the model of charm and efficiency and the cooked breakfast was to die for! My wife and I booked a four-night stay at Butlers based solely on previous reviews and were not in the least bit disappointed. It is a beautiful early Victorian house, ten minutes' walk from Montpellier (the part of Cheltenham where all the best restaurants, bars and the beautiful people are), and is stylishly appointed. We were greeted by Sarah, who... More

The thing about Butlers is that, yes, you get great rooms, brilliant breakfasts and wonderful, helpful, hosts but there's also always something different to see! This time one of the rooms on the top floor had been redecorated, and how!! Shades of cream, taupe and soft yellow made for a stylish and restful room but the furniture was, superb! We... More

Butlers is situated in a very quiet street. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom may not be very spacious but everything was very cleaned and worked with hot water right away...not always the case in B&Bs! The breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking a beautiful garden, with a good continental buffet but most importantly an extensive selection... More

The night before I visited Butlers I stayed in an Oxford B and B where the room was so small I was practically able to switch off the wall light by the door and be in bed before it was dark.I left, to paraphrase P.G. Wodehouse, if not disgruntled, certainly not gruntled. By contrast my room at Butlers was expansive,... More
