Me and my better half stayed here for a night in April - hosts Simon and Sarah were very welcoming and catered to specific dietary requirements - the en-suite room was very well presented and had a fantastic drench shower. A neat idea that there is a fridge for guests to store cold drinks etc. in and also a separate... More

We chose to stay at this B&B on the strength of other reviews and we were not disappointed. The owners, Simon and Sarah have done a fantastic job of ensuring that every possible need is catered for and that guests enjoy every moment of their stay. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and the breakfast is superb, but in addition there... More

We booked this lovely B&B quite last minute, without any knowledge of the area, but as soon as we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. We were a given a warm welcome, and lots of information about what to do and where to go. The room was immaculate and homely, with all the facilities you could need.... More

This Gem of a Bed and Breakfast provided 1st class customer service from my initial enquiry to Sarah by email to the moment I checked out. On arrival Simon greeted me and showed me the guest facilities and then my room, which was a wow in itself - beautifully decorated, serene and calm - perfect for my stay. After dropping... More

Even... More

As a family of four adults travelling to a wedding in Cheltenham, we chose The Battledown because it had been recommended by the bride's parents. The welcome by Sarah, Sam and Isobella was warm and friendly; the rooms were extremely well-equipped;and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and lovely with lots of choice including cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and... More

Sarah made us very welcome. Couldn't do enough to make us feel at ease. Great breakfast with homemade preserves and banana bread. Everything supplied including ice-scrapers in case of frosty mornings. Plenty books, umbrellas for lending, slippers, hot water bottles too. Our room had been re-furbished the previous year and was so cosy and light. Garden and parking areas were... More

We had 2 nights at the Battledown in April 2014. Great welcome with lots of useful local knowledge. Our room was comfortable and warm and the decoration/facilities immaculate. Breakfast was just right. All in all a perfect stay.

Stayed there for one night. Sarah was really helpful and the Breakfast is good... Worth the stay if u r keen to explore the cheltanham area. We didn't walk to the town centre. Drove there instead. So can't really judge the location.

Everything was perfect, lovely host, lovely room and a lovely breakfast. I stayed for one night, and after a very long day, immediately felt welcome and relaxed. I would highly recommend this extremely well run B&B.
