We stayed for 4 nights and had no complaints whatsoever. We recieved a warm welcome from Pauline, who immediately made us feel that we had made a wise choice in staying here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, generously supplied with coffee, tea etc and the most delicious biscuits! Breakfast was lovely and efficiently and promptly served. The atmosphere was... more

Was on the whole very happy with the stay here - the hosts were friendly and the place was well kept and very clean. Rooms were a little small and during a hot night with the window open noise from the town's bars and clubs came through well into the early hours. Also, with 2 small children, part of the... more

This is an absolutely ideal place for a lone traveller. Very warm welcome and comfortable room. They offer snacks in the evening for lone travellers which is ideal - eating by yourself in restaurants can get very dull, and I much preferred the lovely fresh sandwich delivered to my room. Excellent breakfast (try the home made fruit compote - magic)... more

Had a perfect stay at Abbey Hotel! Greg, the proprietor, is a very kind guy. Room, bathroom, TV, it was all OK. Breakfast was marvellous! For my next stay in Cheltenham I certainly will book again. No reason to search for another place for the night. more

The Abbey is one of the most relaxed and comforting hotels I've ever known. Quiet despite a central location, rooms are not huge (with the exception of the family room downstairs ) but warm and homely. The lounge and honesty bar are perfect for reading the papers or a late night dram, and the resident owners Greg and Sophie are... more

Very friendly family run hotel in the heart of Cheltenham. Made to feel welcome without being fussed over. I used the small single rooms - which are small, but fine and good value particularly with a fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning. Stayed there during the week over a period of three weeks, and would recommend to anyone looking for... more

We were recommended to stay at the Abbey as it was close to Cheltenham College which we were visiting. It was a short walk from the promenade. The street was a bit shabby but inside the hotel was excellent. Our room was very generous sized with a lovely en suite. The breakfast was very nice and filled us up for... more

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Rooms bright and clean, very comfortable bed. Bathrooms gleaming and spotless, although shower cubicle a bit small. Breakfast was very well prepared using good quality produce. Less than five minutes walk from the town centre. Will definately stay again. more

I chose the Abbey House based on Tripadvisor reviews, and was very happy. Check-in was quick and friendly. The room was old-fashioned, spacious, with character, a good bath, and comfortable bed. The location is perfect for seeing all the main sites on foot. The only negative is the parking lot across the street, which is a 1950's style hangout for... more

This bed and breakfast was better than suggested by its rating. The rooms were decorated tastfully, beds were comfortable ( I have a bad back and I slept good), breakfast was hot and very good. The host and hostess were very helpful with directions on places to eat for dinner and directions to our old family home. I would suggest... more
