We have just returned from a wonderful 4day stay at this hotel. Have had a really great time room, staff, food all superb. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Also in a wonderful location.

We chose this from comments on TripAdviser and weren't disappointed. We were upgraded to a huge and splendid room with two sofas, looking out over the square. Despite being directly above the bar on a warm evening it was not noisy at all, and we slept well apart from loud thunderclap in the night! Staff really friendly and helpful, and... More

This small hotel is in a stylish Cheltenham mansion built in 1838, the former Ross House. It is situated in a quiet, stylish square about 5-10 min walk (though not a particularly interesting one) from the famous Promenade and near the unspeakably nasty new Brewery shopping mall. The hotel has many original fittings and some very steep stairs, but has... More

Our first visit to Cheltenham and this was an excellent place to stay. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable and our en-suite looked new with a nice walk-in shower. The restaurant is superb! As well as the excellent breakfasts, which are cooked to order, the evening menu is extensive and varied with plenty of gluten free options. The... More

A first visit to Cheltenham and a lovely weekend due mainly to the hotel and staff. The hotel is in a central location with good sized rooms and good parking facilities. The food was excellent with a good breakfast included and the menu in the restaurant was varied with excellent gluten free options. I would highly recommend staying here as... More

Hadn't planned on staying in Central Cheltenham as we were walking the Cotswolds Way but worth the trip in to this 'dog friendly' establishment. We had a very nice room nearest front door which was great for letting the Mutts out. A Bath would have been nice to ease our aching bodies but otherwise no complaints. Massive breakfast which had... The gentleman we booked with was very friendly & helpful which gave us a good feeling about this hotel. On arrival we received a warm welcome & our room was beautiful. Tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean &plenty of drawers & wardrobe space to hang our clothes. Makes a welcome change these days! Very comfortable bed & a very comfortable room all... More

Clarence Court Hotel is a very nice hotel in a great location. It's in the middle of a residential area so very quiet. It's about a 10-minute walk into the city center. The rooms are large with high ceilings and updated baths though a bit dark. Shower could use a good cleaning - bathroom also had a tub. The staff... More

Check-in was a breeze...we were shown to our room as soon as we walked in. Our room was nice enough but the walls were extremely thin, with no soundproofing. In our ground floor room, we could clearly hear the music pounding out from the bar below, the cleaners and their music in the hallway, all outside sounds, and every conversation... More

Dear Roadwrangler, Thanks for your review. I was delighted that many aspects of your stay were very enjoyable but of course most sorry to hear of the issues in the bathroom and in particular with the housekeeping standards which I will discuss in detail with my head housekeeper to ensure our normally very high standards will not be allowed to... We stayed for two nights at the end of May to use as a base to explore the cotswolds. Superb room with tall ceilings, huge bed, very comfortable, with a lovely shower room. Our host made us very welcome, great personality, very warm and human. A real change from the chains where it is yes sir, no sir. We ate... More
