We stayed here overnight while visiting friends in Cheltenham. It was in a very convenient position with parking so we did not have to use the car again. Despite the warnings from others here my husband booked an attic room. It did have sloping ceilings on which I banged my head five times (I'm 6'). I worked out that it... More

Lypiatt House is located only 6-10 minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham with good parking onsite. The property is in a quiet area, classical design with guest sitting room and garden room, honesty bar. Bedroom was spotless with en suite, and tea and coffee making facilities. Superb white bed linen and fluffy white towels.Comfortable bed. Room we had was... More

I wouldn't even give this place one star if it was down to customer service alone! My parents had booked for us to go here as a lovely surprise for my 18th birthday- when we first arrived we were disappointed to find out the house was a b&b and not a hotel but it was pleasant enough. When we met... More

We were a little worried about staying here after reading so,e of the reviews, but our fears were unfounded. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady who checked us in promptly, offered to help us with our bags and warned us that the hotel was short staffed the next day so we might need to be patient when... My wife chose it through booking.com. First the good things: very pleasant and quiet area, beautiful house, convenient parking, generous breakfast the combination of English and modern healthy. However: Not easy to find without GPS, the owners should offer instructions, as the town centre one-way system is horrific. Maybe because of the 'offer' through an agency, we were given the... More

From the greeting by Robert, through the delightfully appointed lounge with honesty bar, the comfy beds and excellent en suite, to a breakfast from excellent ingredients and beautifully presented the say was as in the title - practically perfect in every way.

I would not advise ever staying at this accommodation Having stayed in many hotels and bed a breakfasts around the uk we have never been treated so rudely and experienced such a vile individual - there are obviously issues going on but this should not reflect on the way paying customers are treated - we didn't even unpack and moved... We stay here every year for business and would highly recommend it for business or pleasure. It reasonably priced and you get more for your money than some of the local chain restaurants. The superior rooms and bathrooms are large, clean and comfortable. Each room is individually designed to a high standard and has all the comforts you need. The... More
