Stayed here during a business conference. On the plus side, the location is great, the breakfast/dining room is lovely (bright and airy) and leads out into an outdoor seating area - great for morning coffee in the sunshine. The hotel shows signs of former grandeur, but now seems to becoming a little shabby and down-at-heel. This is where the downsides... more

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Queen's in three years and the staff, as always were very friendly and attentive, whether we have been there as a couple or with our two small children. Rooms have recently been refurbished and are very comfortable. Good buffet breakfast offered this time too. The location is, quite simply,... more

I stayed at The Queen's Hotel with my husband for 3 nights during the Spring Holiday. The hotel is wonderful, fantastic decor and the staff are very attentive. Make sure you use the stairs to see the grandeur of the hotel. I booked a classic room with a queensize bed (using the hotel's website - best price) and very pleasantly... more

I stayed at the Queen's hotel during the Cheltenham Festival last week, when it was full to capacity and when the room rates were more than 3 times what they usually are! However, it is in a great location right in the middle of Cheltenham and a stone's throw from the pubs and bars of Montpellier. As it was Gold... more

Nice hotel, reasonable sized rooms. Short break rates include breakfast for two nights or more Main staircase is currently undergoing restoration so certain rooms can only be accessed by side stairs. If of limited mobility need to check that a room with lift access is available. Also if in a room on the front of hotel some noise from teenagers... more

Have stayed at the queens twice and the hotel and all staff have been consistantly very good.Checking in was very smooth and room available early. The hotel is undergoing renovation but it doesnt effect your stay and will be excellent when complete. The lunch, dinner and breakfast the following morning were very good a little expensive but in my opinion... more

We stayed at the Queen's for 2 nights. The room we had was very nice - much nicer than the one shown on the candid traveller photos on this site. I don't know how much the room cost because our stay was a gift. However, I can say that all the other charges, such as for drinks at the bar... more

Arrived on Saturday afternoon and received a warm welcome at reception. Our room was very comfortable on the 3rd floor. We had a twin room with mini-bar, hairdryer, tea/coffee, complimentary water, iron, etc. Very well equipped. Bath was a bit small but lovely toiletries and big towels. We had dinner on the Saturday night which was superb and could not... more

My husband and I stayed at this Regency hotel for one night - we booked it last minute for a relaxing weekend break. I booked an executive room with queen size bed on the Mercure website. When I arrived I was shown to a very nice but small standard room. The hotel was overbooked so we had to stick to... more
