Looking forward to this stay for ages. Was promised "my supervisor will respond to your complaints" but 3 days later still not heard a sausage. To precis: no air-con first night; poor breakfast and then incorrect/incomplete orders brought out, with surly service 2 mornings running; room left open by housekeeping- fortunately nothing stolen; room service drinks brought unopened, then told... Overnight stop while driving through Cotswolds, didn't have a booking but was accommodated no problems. Very helpful staff, rooms spacious, beds very comfortable and room quiet...exactly what I was looking for.

Cheltenham is a quaint town with lovely parks and a good shopping centre. This hotel is great. Daniel made our evening and entertained Gilly for us :-) Make sure you check out Gloucester quays. Restaurant good with great food at good prices. Thanks

Good price for a great hotel, location was unbeatable and the room was spot on. Check in was easy and I felt well looked after by all staff encountered. Minor problem with the shower however upon mentioning it I received an apology and assurance that it would be seen too.

I realise the managers of this hotel have decided not to pursue the route of best hotel in Cheltenham as this would be very expensive and possibly not cost effective but there are some basic maintenance tasks they could carry out which would not be expensive and would increase the enjoyment of the hotel for guests. The creaking floorboards need... More

An old and charming building with lots of original features. The room I had was a large executive double with a large bathroom. The wallpaper in the central staircase - of which all the rooms spread - was designed by Pugin - same wallpaper as is in the House of Commons I think. Original, unusual, great breakfast!

We stayed in the Queens hotel on a recent visit to Cheltenham. We enjoy a beautiful room on the first floor in the corner - well worth asking for if you get the chance, as it is huge for a standard room! The breakfast next morning was delicious, and the buffet was varied and had something for everyone. A quick... More

We are back at the Queens for a family visit and I gather there are to be some refurbishments soon but if so please don't destroy the charm of this hotel which is the elegance of the Regency period combined with the friendliness of family run hotel (although I realise it is no longer family run hotel but owned by... I was concerned about going here as there were a number of reviews which sounded that it was over the hill and waiting for its reno in 2015, but we needed to visit Cheltenham, the location is great and it was only for one night. Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel did not look that run down and... More

Live locally and have come to The Queens before for afternoon tea or drinks and have never been disappointed, and today was no exception. Came on Sunday for afternoon tea in the sun and was warmly welcomed by staff and shown to our table outside. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable about the food. The afternoon tea was delicious... More
