Our room (7) was adequate - comfortable bed etc. Shower room was small and a bit scruffy but everything worked OK. The room was very chilly and no way to make it warmer. The staff were very pleasant other than John who I think was the owner who was grumpy the whole time. The food and service was excellent. What... more

Rooms were Basic, our friends had a very small room (8) hardly any cuboard space. but our room (6) was quite a nice size, no bath in the rooms only showers, the beds were very comfortable. food was excellcent, staff were very friendly (apart from the grumpy old man, we nicknamed Del boy because of his gold chains). very good... more

My daughter & I had a lovely weekend in the Cotswolds. The Mousetrap was okish, it does need a little refurbishment, our room was small but suited us ok although it could have been warmer. The Chef & we think joint owner was a lovely friendly man who cooked lovely breakfasts & a wonderful evening meal on our 2nd night.... more

We stayed for three nights and loved every minute! Our host, David, was so welcoming and friendly and the chef, Tony, was an artist! Great food every night. Everyone: David, Tony and Marie, who worked in the hotel, were all so nice. They checked with us at dinner each night to make sure we had a nice day out and... more

The staff were very freindly and helpful, the hotel was good value for money, but most of all the food was excellent. It is worth eating here if staying elsewhere. more

Having just stayed at a 5* hotel, this Inn was a complete shock. When booking, I knew that it wouldn't have been as plush as the previous hotel, but had we not taken our bags in as we checked-in, I think I would have insisted on leaving - even without our deposit! Our room was so small, it was difficult... more

After reading other reviews i admit i was a little reserved when we got there, but the bed was very comfy & the room clean, yes the shower could have done with a better scrub but the main problem in the bathroom is ventalation, not cleanliness. The food excelent, after eating out on the first night in bourton (which was... more

We chose the Mousetrap from the internet, for a 4 night short break so that we could see the Cotswolds and surrounding area. Arriving on a Monday, we were aware that the restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays but that gave us a chance to see what else Bourton had to offer. The weather on our second evening was bad... more

We stayed in this little Inn for two nights. Rooms are smallish but clean and have all the amenities you need. Staff are very friendly and helpful. One night there was a rush on in the restaurant and Dave (one of the owners) was rushed off his feet. We had a wait of just over half andn hour and Dave... more

My wife and I, found the Mouse Trap Inn to be a charming little inn in the lovely village of Bourton-on-the-Water. It is just a short walk to the center of the village, yet all streets are an exploration unto themselves. The inn is a two story building, with an attached one story additon on the back, that houses about... more
