Stayed a few nights for a short break in the Cotswold. It is situated on the outskirts of Bourton, alongside a busy main road, and about a 15 minute walk into the centre. The staff are very welcoming and the breakfast was good. The rooms are large and well equipped. The C&H is more gastropub than pub and closes early... More

Stopped for lunch on a beautiful Summers day and was very disappointed with the food here. The Cheese and tomato panini and side salad I ordered, were covered in olive oil (which wasn't specified on the menu). Very much not to my taste. We asked for a regular sandwich, ham/cheese/tomato which came with no garnishing on the plate- very average.... More

Stopped here for a couple of nights whilst looking at the Cotswolds. Very busy road outside of the pub. Room okay, but not what I would expect for £140 per night, should have been a bit more luxurious with little extras added like bathrobes etc. The TV was quite temperamental, probably either due to the signal or batteries needed changing... Located within walking distance of Bourton on the water, the room was a nice size, the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was ample and our room was very clean. Bathroom was a nice size and very clean.

We paid £110 and expected a very good/luxury bedroom in a quiet hotel with good service. We got a £30-worth stay next to a noisy road. Room itself had nothing special and was definitely not worth the price. There were no caffeine-free drinks in the tea tray so we asked the waiter/guy who showed us the room if we could... More

We stayed for just one night on our way back from the south coast so we could see something of the Cotswolds. Excellent location on the main road and about a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) into the village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Our room was very clean and comfortable and well decorated with a parking space right outside the... More

On our day out we found The Coach and Horses just as we were getting hungry. It's a lovely old pub with friendly, attentive, staff and a dog who poses as soon as you lift your camera. I was a tad disappointed with my food..I'd ordered the salt squid and salad with sweet potato chips. The squid was a smallish... More

If passing through the Cotswolds, this is the perfect stop for lunch. Delicious food, very friendly staff and a curious resident dog! We stopped on both legs of our journey due to being so impressed. Will definitely return.

Stay here evening meal was nice but not a lot of choice, bar man very friendly at night, room was very disappointing mould all over bathroom ceiling and lights out, TV turned the volume off when you changed channels. Breakfast was poor service food ok but again not much choice, juice on side not chilled only 1 slice of toast.... More

Excellent service, food good, great staff, very friendly worth a visit, set in the tranquil cotswolds, a very relaxing stop off, rooms available , easy access car park, 5 min drive to the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water, and Upper Slaughter,
