Now I have your attention read on. The hosts Jan and Bob Crook, very nice people. I stayed here with my partner and 2 year old son, my other daughter stayed with her elder sister down the road. We got to the B & B and a bed was missing from the room for my son, I ran Jan straight... More

I have read reviews that suggest the B&B is the worst people have ever stayed in which is quite sad. Yes the building is old - but wouldn't people like to experience what it is like to stay in a traditional Cotswold house rather than a clinical boutique that is much of a muchness hotel? As people have stated, it... More

My wife, 3 children and I had a wonderful stay at Chestnuts. I disagree 100% with the previous reviewer. Chestnuts is a cosy, friendly and traditional B & B, set right in the heart of this beautiful town. We had free parking, a friendly welcome and absolutely loved it. It may not be all modern, shiny and trendily decorated, but... More

This B&B can not possibly have received some of these reviews I have seen on Trip Advisor! .The place is so tired, linen is old, bed and pillows are uncomfortable, the shower is a dribble and the breakfast is served within a 45 minute window. We could hear others snoring while we were trying to sleep. We were booked in... More

Plus point, right in the middle of this beautiful village but difficult to find. The address is 'High St' but despite driving up and down, walking up and down we could not find it. It is actually tucked away BEHIND the High Street and we had to phone for directions. We negotiated the narrow lane into the car park which... More

This B & B is located in the center of a very picturesque Cotswold village. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within a short walk. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was "made to order" so you weren't stuck with an enormous English meal at the start of the day. The fridge was outside our room and was... More

write up says mini fridge in each room ! not true, and radio alarm in each room ! not true, I booked a king sized room and it was not as big as my bedroom in my 3 bed semi, I know it is in the middle of the village but that is not worth £80 per night, very disappointed.... More

Location in centre of village was perfect as close to everything. Free parking was a bonus. Entrance around the back is strange. Rooms are basic and clean but could do with an update(especially the bathroom, shower warm but no power) Wifi is very slow. Breakfast basic but ok. Hosts very friendly and always available.

Janet was a wonderful hostess while we stated in Bourton on the Water at Chestnuts. The bed and breakfast is a little hard to find but our room was very clean and comfortable. It was amazing to stay in such a beautiful area, in the middle of the village. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling.

Bob & Jan run a really good, relaxing stay away from home. A really interesting building, due to the old internal design. Walkways are packed with an amazing collection of mainly wooden toys from various eras. The breakfast is ample & good quality, with plenty of local produce & a variety of fruit to accompany the cooked breakfast. We have... More
