We have just returned from another 2 night stay at The Duke of Wellington. We phone through to book our rooms and are always put in our room..... Breakfast for us is a full English freshly cooked and the evening menu and specials are lovely. We genuinely can't fault the staff who over the past couple of years have become... More

This is in the Good Pub Guide as a 'B' entry. Nice pub. Friendly staff. Food was average. Frozen chips. But smaller portions on a 2 for a tenner promo which was good value and suited the older generation!!! Worth going for a good British pub experience, but don't hold your breath on the food.

My wife & I chose to stay one night at this pub B&B only as there was no availability elsewhere. The room we had (room 5) was somewhat dated & small. The door knob on the inside of the en suite came off in your hands which was annoying too. It was however clean and comfortable and the shower was... More

My mum and I stayed at the Duke of Wellington this weekend and enjoyed it thoroughly. The Pub was lovely, fresh,Clean and homely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We upgraded our stay to get the evening meal included and we are very glad we did. The meal was cooked beautifully and they accommodated our every needs. I would... More

My wife and I stayed for one night B&B at the end of August. Check i was easy and we were offered to upgrade to Dinner B&B for an extra £25, we were not sure where we were going to eat that night so we declined, but they left the offer open for us in case we changed our mind... More

We stopped here for lunch and found the food and service very good. The weather was wet so we wanted something warm. Dogs welcome, and food tasty, only disappointment was the gravy. A bit think and lumpy. Burgers cooked well and a good choice of food available. Quick service and plenty of space inside to get comfy with a dog.... More

We had a fabulous weekend, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, there was some noise as our room was above the bar but we were staying in a pub after all and once the bar had closed we slept really well, the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate dinner at the pub... More

My husband and I ate here on a Sunday evening. We have been to Bourton on the Water many many times and eaten in most pubs/restaurants in the town. This was our first visit to this pub. Not much to look at from outside. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pub on entering. Lovely greeting on... More

Whilst the hotel is in an exceptional location by the river, the room and meal I had were by far the most dissapointing I can recall. I had room 3 which had one major H&S issue and six minor defects, which individually I would have ignored, but collectively show a complete lack of attention to routine care and maintenance. I... Many thanks for taking to time to write your review. In response to your comments I would just like to highlight that you have been a very economical with the truth and I would question your views regarding health and safety.
