Usually guesthouses are not as nice as they look in pictures and I always had doubts on the so-called reviews. That's my worry before I booked a guesthouse online. BUT, Alderley Guest house is just amazingly nice, comfortable and everything is up to HOTEL standard. I love the place we had our full breakfast. I love the room we stayed,... more

I've never been moved to write a review of a place in which my husband and I have stayed in but I really feel I must share our experience of Alderley Guest House. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted a quiet celebration, just the two of us. We arrived at about 6.30 and were met by two... more

We were cyling arouind the and Cotswolds needed a base . We found the perfect B & B with amazingly comfortable mattresses -perfect for the cyclist after a weary day up hill and down dale. Margaret and Steve were delightful, and Bourton on the water, being just one of the 15 + towns that we visited, was by far the... more

Once again the beauty of Bourton drew us back for another visit and once again Alderley provided us with an absolutely lovely place to stay for the weekend. As noted before, consistency is probably the biggest challenge to a successful establishment and Alderley has delivered every time we have stayed there. We left rested and content and possibly a pound... more

A very friendly B&B just outside the centre of Bourton where the owners try to make your stay just like home. We were welcomed with tea out in the garden, a nice chat and two lovely small dogs in attendance. The period room that we were given was amazing with its own settee, coffee table and a very relaxing atmosphere.... more

My Wife & I booked our 2 nights at the Alderley Guest house based on reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. Having not stayed at guesthouse before we were a little apprehensive, but everything from the warm welcome on arrival to the cleanliness of the rooms was spot on. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Alderley Guest... more

Margaret and Steve are lovely hosts - going so far as to recommend and actually book a table for our party of five at a fantastic country pub for dinner. Margaret put up very patiently with our chatty four-year old. The house is spotless, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast hearty. And yes, the tea/coffee on the patio on arrival is... more

Steven and Margaret are the nicest hosts I could ever imagine. They were so accomodating that we felt very welcome from the minute we arrived. I liked the flexibility of the breakfast that was offered and Margaret was always there to ask if we wanted more toast, tea or coffee. The room was very clean and tidy with enough space... more

We have just returend from Alderley Guest House and cannot fault it. The place was just perfect and the owners, Steve & Margaret, were the perfect hosts. We arrived at around 2pm and were greeted at the gate by Margaret. She made us feel so welcome and we were offered tea and coffee before we had even been shown to... more

My partner and I, my partners sister and her husband booked the Guest House to stay in whilst we attended a wedding in the area. We had already done our homework before booking the Guest House via this and other website reviews and also from the website of the said Guest House available on the internet. So we were very... more
