Where do i start. Well I suppose with the only positive about this dingy little heck hole, the receptionist who booked us. She was very friendly and made us feel at home, could almost have been my nan. Unfortunately it started to go down hill after that. The room was shabby, but, we thought nothing of it as we were... more

Stayed at this Hotel for 4 miserable nights. The web site gave no indication of the 2 star rating. However I think a 2 star rating is 2 too many !! When was it last checked by the rating authorities. Room was poorly decorated, very dated and needed a good cleaning. Cobwebbs everywhere and dust. The bed side cabinet was... more

We spent one night in this hotel, celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary, having honeymooned in Bourton on the Water. Sadly we were disappointed, the room was in a time warp, with very dated furniture, a bed that creaked every time one turned over and I was able to write in the dust on lower shelf of the dressing table. There... more

Terrible Experience Date: June 2008 Reviewer: A TripAdvisor Member, London UK A terrible hotel lacking in atmosphere with the owners being unfriendly, extremely unhelpful and devoid of personality. They shouldn't be in this line of business. Rooms were very tired, bedrooms were unclean and very tired, bathrooms also and only had hand held showers. Rooms were very noisy overlooking the... more

I think that this is regarded as a “2 star Inn”. Its about 200 metres away from the centre of Bourton on the Water so has the advantage of being close but being peaceful. It’s a quaint hotel with the benefit of a good sized car park, a nice back garden where you can sit, relax and have a couple... more

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night in February . We arrived about midday and despite a short wait whilst finding a receptionist we were warmly greeted and shown straight to our room which was a bonus as were expecting to wait a couple of hours to do this . Room was fine if a little dated decor wise but... more

My partner booked this hotel for my birthday weekend. Nice setting but overall there was no atmosphere. The room was large, clean and nicely located with a view of the river. The food was ok...traditional fayre. The hotel has at least a couple of bars with the 'snug' being the cosiest. On the other hand, the lounge bar is just... more

My husband & I booked the Old Manse for a weekend break for his birthday. We have been to Bourton before, but stayed at the Chester House hotel, that was good, but the Old Manse looked a nice change. On the phone, the reception said they had reserved our room & as we were arriving about 4pm, a parking space too.On arrival we could... more

Having looked at The Old New Inn website I was encoraged by the Family run theme and the Childrens play area only to recieve the following one line e-mail when trying to book : "We regret to say we do not accept bookings for children under the age of 12 years." I suggest as I now am familes with small... more

My daughter and I have just spent a weekend at the Old New Inn and had a lovely weekend. Having read some of the reviews before we went we were a bit apprehensive but were pleasantly surprised when we got there. If you want smart, modern and immaculate then this isn't for you but if you want quaint, old world... more
