The hotel is lovely, nice grounds, our room was in the coach house and was very nice, just a bit tatty, carpet needed a clean, voile curtain had holes in and the tv didn't work, these things could be easily sorted so why aren't they to make the stay even better. Breakfast really tasty, didn't stay for dinner as was... More

Stayed in a premium room here, the bed was a tad on the small side pretty much a standard double (four poster), but the rooms were a decent size, finish was good and the hotel was in a fantastic location. A decent place to stay, no negatives and yes i would recommend staying here. Oh, nearly forgot the breakfast was... More

Booked 2 premium rooms. One room fitted the premium class the other in a separate building certainly did not but cost the same price. Access was via a very steep staircase, the room was small, luckily we are small in stature or we would have had to climb over the bed to access the tea and coffee. We had to... More

Nice day so had hoped to have the Afternoon Tea outside. Advised that wasps would make an appearance so ate inside - good advice as it happens. Shame as the garden front and rear is lovely. Outside table needed a clean not done that morning so missing on the detail a bit. Ashtray needed emptying from the rain the night... More

What an amazing stay. We stayed here for one night for a special anniversary and were treated like royalty. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They were attentive, polite, friendly and charming without being smarmy. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and stylish. We had afternoon tea and the chefs taster menu. Both of which we can highly recommend both... More

A family anniversary gift! A one night stay and a special menu! We enjoyed the whole experience and were made to feel very welcome. We would love to return to Dial House, but every time we have visited Bourton on the Water, we have been for a friends and family lunch...so we have missed out! Delicious food, fine wine and... Okay so this is tourist central but for the money we paid I did expect a touch of smartness here and there. Bedroo. Did overlook the river but was shabby in the extheme. Peeling paint on windowsill, stained wallpaper and tea stained carpet where other guests had dropped teabags. Shabby old cushions as decorative touches on the bed. Nice bathroom... More

We stayed for short break last week, prior to our trip the staff were very attentive to ensuring that the room was suitable, as the hotel is old inevitably some of the ceilings are low, and my husband is tall. Our room was delightful a mixture of old charm with some modern influence. The staff were very helpful and courteous... More

Lovely, very old hotel with pleasant gardens. The staff were welcoming and the room was attractive and very clean. Breakfast was well cooked and there was plenty of it. Bit noisy if your room faces out at the front. The four-poster was a nice touch but embarrassingly squeaky.

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel in the very picturesque Cotswolds’ town of Bourton-on-the-Water. I think the original part of the hotel was built around the 1600s. I had to duck through a couple of the doors. The staff were excellent and went out of the way to help. We had breakfast there and I would go so far... More
