We had an extremely pleasant stay in this beautiful little hotel.were in Room 11, which has a private garden - just right for catching the afternoon sun! Our room was comfortable and the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath, which was ideal for relaxing in. Although we were tempted by the dinner menu, as we'd eaten well at lunchtime, we decided... More

2 nights in room 16 right at the top of the rickety stairs, but worth it when we got there. Quirky but spacious and a great view from the window. The only problem was that the main light and one of the 2 spot lights did not work, leaving us with only a lamp and a spotlight, so a bit... More

We loved the location and the building is very beautiful. We stayed in the annexe. The room was comfortable with a decent bed, good shower and Molton Brown toiletries. It was, however, VERY small. The smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was average, nothing outstanding about it. Because of the tiny room, we felt this was... More

we recently stayed in this hotel for an overnight break in Bourton on the Water. This hotel is right in the middle of Bourton and couldn't be better placed for all that the town has to offer. We had room no.10, which is in the Coach House, because we took our dog along with us(Labradoodle) The room was very clean... More

The room we stayed in was great, number 3. The bed was comfy if a little small. The view from the beautiful leaded windows was amazing. Molton and Brown ttoiletries in the barhroom. Biscuits, coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc in abundance. A fan was provided because it was hot. A great breakfast was served in the morning. No shower, but... More

My wife and and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and thought it was a rip off. The newspaper was delivered late every morning. The T.V in the bedroom did not work properly. I ordered the full Englsh breakfast on three mornings and every morning it was cold and had clearly been waiting in the kitchen. When I commented... More

Visited with friends having stayed several years ago and had a great experience. Now however very slow service, made to feel insignificant, attention to detail - no longer !! Coffee cold and expensive. Gardens scruffy and overgrown whole place needs improved maintenance. To command their prices certainly need to step up to the mark and above, as it once did.

On the strength of some recent reviews, my wife and I stayed - on the Taster Menu with Wine arrangement. The staff and location were excellent and the "Superior" bedroom was clean, bright and comfortable with a big bath and separate shower; and good value at half the rack rate.I am reluctant to give the establishment a poor rating but... On arrival at the hotel we were delighted with the position, right in the centre of Bourton overlooking the river. From the outside the hotel looks very impressive. We stayed for three nights. We booked a classic room and were allocated room 14 in the coach house. The room was very clean, and the king size bed comfortable however, the... More

stayed three nights, couldn't fault the friendliness of staff. Nothing too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable. Setting was very handy, but also very peacful. Only one adverse comment and that was the width of the car park, which was very tight for manouvering.
