A lovely small hotel, excellent attention to detail, top class service from friendly helpful staff. Comfortable attractive rooms, a quiet private garden with plenty of seating away from the madding crowds of a tourist packed Bourton, to relax and enjoy the weekend papers with a glass of wine. Drinks served in elegant, delicate roomy glasses, so much nicer than the... More

My review adds to previous comments about Simon who had a lot on his shoulders. In addition to checking us in, he ran the bar, took our orders for dinner, showed us to our table and served. We saw no one else and the only other people seemed to be in the kitchen. We were very impressed how he managed... More

I find it hard to accurately rate this hotel. There are aspects of the service that remind me of faulty towers and aspects that unexpetedly delight. Firstly we did get a good deal on accomodation and our price:quality:value ratio was excellent. The hotel maybe a little worn and some of the new (bar) doesn't quite work with the traditional. The... We were fortunate to be upgraded to a superior room with river views which on a lovely evening was delightful. The room was clean and inviting and well stocked with tea and coffee, we thought we would try the Al la Carte menu as we have never eaten like this before and I must say we won't in the future... We have had some very enjoyable stays at this hotel a few years ago and decided to stay with the 'devil you know' when we revisited the Cotswolds. Boy has it changed. We were in a standard room which is supposedly slightly smaller than other rooms. It was tiny, about 9 foot by 10 foot and had the smallest bathroom... More

We stayed at The Dial House to continue celebrating a special wedding Anniversary. This hotel was all I had expected it to be. The staff are attentive and courteous and we were well looked after by Mandy in the restaurant. Our room on the ground floor was cosy with lovely bedding, tea/coffee facilities, tv etc. the bathroom was very good... More

The Dial House Hotel is right in the middle of the quaint Bourton-on-the-Water (the "Venice of the Cotswolds") which meant we could park up (parking is ample and free) and spend a couple of days milling around the myriad cream tea shops and visit the infamous Birdland (well worth a look). We had a room in the Coach House which... More

Just like to say how much we enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Dial house. The sandwiches and cakes were beautifully fresh, plenty of tea or coffee and comfy seating. Afterwards we sat out front with some bubbly and people watched. Lovely.

We stayed at the Dial house for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday Our room although comfortable it was on the ground floor ,which I had chosen ,but didn't realise that there was no view just frosted glass. The meal and service were excellent but fairly pricey also ,as I recall at the time they were lived for 3 courses...
