I visited today for lunch as part of a packaged tour. I felt so strongly about this that I had to write the review right away. The hotel looks amazing from the outside. The village itself is beautiful. Fantastic setting. We were sold this tour of the Cotswolds and lunch as some premium lunch experience. We had two options trout... More

Stayed for 3 nights in one of the Swans Garden Cottages (Whistling) It was one of the most relaxing breaks I've ever had. Beautiful cottage wonderfully decorated,Mineral water, coffee maker, kettle and Molton Brown toiletries (plenty of) Bibury itself is very pretty, well worth walking around the village and a visit to the 'Trout Farm' is a must. We didn't... More

Just returned from Bibury having stayed at the Swan Hotel. Lovely scenic village. Great room overlooking the River Coln and the hotel's gardens. Kingsize bed, very comfortable. Room clean and presentable and a huge bathroom. Elsewhere in the hotel appeared clean and welcoming. Although most of the staff appeared to be foreign they were all very helpful and polite Had... Stopped off here for lunch on the way through and I'm glad we did. Service was good and the platter we had was amazing. The outside area it a great spot to catch the sunshine but do be warned it does get very busy. Only negative is there is almost no parking but it's is defiantly a visit.

My husband and i visited this establishment for lunch. At first glance it is beautifully quaint & charming with a pretty courtyard and pleasant interior. Within minutes of approaching the bar the two female bar staff were rude, flippant and had an extremely disappointing attitude towards customers. My husband and i then took a table outside in the court yard... More

A friend and I splashed out a little luxury - we got 3 nights for the price of 2 and were thoroughly impressed! We had a lovely room with comfortable beds looking out over the river (which was almost bursting its banks at the time!). Bedroom and bathroom were both superb couldnt have asked for more! We ended up eating... More

Went here with my family for a sandwich on a sunny afternoon. After settling the bill at the bar so we could eat outside (no problem) £45 later for x3 sandwiches and x3 drinks we found a table outside in the sun. Upon the food arriving, the sandwiches themselves were lovely. However, the chips served with them were soggy and... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during a period of hot weather. We arrived and were shown to our room. The room was very nice and beautifully furnished, however, the one window which overlooked the lovely gardens opposite was very small. Because the room was situated on the top floor and owing to the very warm weather... More

We have been staying here on and off for at least 5 years. It's why we chose here to get married. We have never experienced bad food or service and have been in the restaurant twice recently when inedible food has been reviewed, seems very odd to us. The service is relaxed rather than slow but always polite.

My wife and I (plus Yorkshire Terrier) spent six days at The Swan last month and cannot speak highly enough of the accommodation, food and service. The staff (predominantly Eastern European) were very attentive and efficient and spoke very good English. Only negative comments we could make would be 1. Cannot make good coffee - even Esspresso! and 2. The... More
