We based ourselves here for 4 days to explore the Cotswolds. In terms of location it's ideal - we easily managed a day trip to Bath, as well as visiting many other villages and towns within easy reach by car (the Slaughters were a particular highlight). Bibury is a delightful place, and the hotel is right in the centre of... more

We have now stayed at 3 of the 6 Cotswold Inns, and this was probably the best so far. The location is simply idyllic - I didn't actually think places like this exsisted anymore. The surrounding village is small, based around the young river, and is evidently ancient and lovely. We could wander around all day. The hotel itself is... more

We had lunch at the Swan on a Sunday. The soup was at best average. My husband's trout was overcooked and the potatoes looked as though they had been heated up when required instead of being cooked fresh. With a trout farm up the road and trout throughout the menu, you would expect the fish to be cooked correctly. It... more

This was our first visit to Bibury and we thought it was a charming village and were very impressed with this hotel. It's a beautiful building and, following a warm welcome at reception, we were upgraded to the Kingfisher suite which was so tastefully decorated and had a gorgeous spacious bathroom with victorian rolltop bath. We had a lovely view... more

We were going to visit friends in Craven Arms and stopped for one night in the Swan Hotel. We couldnt believe our luck when we chose this beautiful place - from the internet. We were so impressed that we have recommended ths hotel to our friends and will be visiting again soon. We also met the receptionist who worked there... more

I found the hotel when looking for a room for our honeymoon night. Then found out that the hotel also hosted weddings so my husband and I decided to also get married here. As my husband and I eloped the wedding itself only took about 10 minutes but the room we were married in was pleasant and the staff were... more

Just returned from a great one night stay at the Swan. We also stayed in room 12 (cuckoo) and yes, the jacuzzi is to die for....! The food and service were very good. I was expecting to be confronted by lots of foreign employees, but only came across two, and they were very pleasant! Great place for a one/two night... more

Myself and my boyfriend visited the Swan and took advantage of the 'Sublime Sunday' deal which I have to say was fantastic value... I can understand at full price staying at this hotel would prove expensive though so definately look out for special offers! We upgraded to the Superior Four Poster room (Cookoo R.12).. Was gorgeous.. the bathroom was the... more

Have just got back from a couple of days away at The Swan. Firstly, Bibury is gorgeous! I imagine it would get very crowded in the summer but in February its lovely. We stayed in a deluxe room on the good value 'winter warmer' deal. £240 for dinner bed and breakfast. The room was very nice although not as big... more

We came across The Swan quite by chance on a Thursday evening in August and were really relieved to find it. Perhaps naively we had decided to stay over in the Cotswolds for the weekend after a business meeting in Stroud and hoped we could just drive until we found somewhere to stay. After a couple of misses at a... more
