This is my local pub and I have eaten here many times but this is the first time I have stayed in the hotel. The rooms are Country 5 Star, the staff so helpful and the Oak Room is a great place to host a party with fine wines and delicious canapes. more

Booked the Sun as a country treat, 2 nights BB and evening meal. Slightly scuffed and squeaky old pub, but our room (Wards) is spacious.has deeply cossetting bed and power shower,and some elegant touches. staff were, without exception, welcoming and enthusiastic. We met in the cosy lounge off the bar and next to the wonderful fire where we had drinks and nibbles before going to our large, comfortable round table with plenty of room for 9 (or more).
