We booked here based on the other great reviews for a weekend of walking on the South Downs way. Its positioned just up the road from the crossover point towards Alfriston or Seven sisters depending on the direction of travel. We arrived on foot from Eastbourne and left on foot towards Brighton. The accommodation is truly excellent, finished to a... More

The ending of a gorgeous 3-week holiday with long-time London friends. Seaford was our last stop...to walk on the E. Sussex downs and take in the beautiful views of the Seven Sisters White Chalk cliffs before heading back to London and then home to Portland, Oregon. Easy access to beach and town, and surrounding area. Thank you to both Wendy... More

Four of us (two couples) came to visit Seven Sisters and Seaford. Hill house is located on the edge of town, within approximately 35-minute walk from the seashore which was perfect for us. We came by train so had taken a taxi from the Seaford station, only 4-minute drive. The hotel is immaculately clean! Everything is in good order and... More

this is a lovely B and B. Our room had great views of the countryside. Wendy, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Location is lovely, very close to the Seven sisters country park, and great walking country. There is a pub just 10 minutes walk away, but take 15 minutes to get back, as it's uphill. Bus service is... More

Just back from a weekend at Hill House. We have stayed at many B & B's and this is one of the best. Very friendly and welcoming. Views are fantastic. Bus stop two minutes away. ( One hour to Brighton.)

Found on the web as the location suited our travels, but what a lovely place to stay. Wendy welcomed us warmly, the location is lovely with superb views over the valley and ideally situated. Although on the main Eastbourne road, the traffic didn't trouble us and it is an ideal location f you're visiting the area. The accomodation couldn't be... More

Wendy and her husband previously owned and ran Hawthorn Cottage in Seaford and there is a link to Hill House on that website. Hill House is the last house on the right in Seaford as you head towards Eastbourne. The rear of the house overlooks the Cuckmere Valley with beautiful views across open fields. Although the front of the house... More
