On first impression it was like walking into a care home! Not sure if that was what it was built for originally! However although very 80's it was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and accomodating. There was a cheesy disco on the saturday night which we did end up and had a laugh. Still breakfast self service... More

I visited here in October 2014 and really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It almost feels like a family run hotel. Rooms were clean. Did not eat dinner here as we went out but breakfast was nice. The receptionist, James, was really helpful and could not have done any more for us, helping with the TV as we had a... More

An average place located quite close to the center, albeit on the 'rougher' side of the river. Off-street private parking is great. Breakfast was OK, not up there with the best, but not with the worst either. But, but.... In this day and age to have such a woeful WiFi, that they know and tell you works pretty much only... More

Independent hotel and all the better for it. Very comfortable room and lovely bed. So good to have a proper double bed, not 2 singles pushed together. Nice outlook and windows that actually open. Ask to be on the river side if possible. So nice to be able to set my own room temperature rather than rely on some vague... More

We stayed for 1 night. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and responsive. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was very clean. Unlike another reviewer there was plenty of space for toiletries. I agree that a hand held shower would be useful though probably not essential. The room also had plenty of... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the hotel over the weekend of 11 and 12 October as part of a larger group that had booked most of the rooms, and we were most impressed with the value for money and service. The welcome was warm without being fussy and the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The... More

Stayed here for a few nights recently, not quite as the pictures look online, was a bit surprised when we booked in as the rooms are not that cheap really. The one we were in was a good size but could really do with updating, quite an old looking bathroom and no space to place any toiletries had to keep... More

This hotel has good parking and is just a short walk to the centre of rye. It does look a bit dated but the room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great and will set you up for the day.

The hotel is a short walk from Rye station. We arrived and were placed on the top floor. We were (at no extra cost) moved into a family room on the ground floor which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was a mixture of continental and cooked (if you wanted it) both were delicious. The hotel were very accomodating as we were... More

Rooms are bright, spacious and have everything you could want. Hotel is in a good location and has good facilities breakfast and food were lovely. Everything fresh and hot. Good parking. What makes this hotel though is the staff I felt very looked after and anything I asked for was never too much. Friendly and welcoming staff and great place... More
