This is a great hotel. The staff are very happy and this shines through to the service the food is very good. The seafood is hard to beat. The price is one of the lowest in Rye. The number of people that come here from. Year to year speaks volumes of this hotel. Highly recommend .

Initially an unprepossessing building on the outskirts of town, but actually a real find. Plenty of parking - a necessity in this town of tiny streets, and nothing in a 'boutique' hotel that you won't find here. Quiet, comfortable, decent internet & plenty of hot water. Good breakfast & friendly service. Easy walk to town & not expensive. Would return.

Very clean friendly staff and made most welcome .The staff could not do enough to help you. Rye centre within five mins walk with loads of nice eating places quite hilly with some cobbled streets lots of antique shops it you like that sort of thing. Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it

The hotel is relatively modern and is located on the river bank opposite Rye town centre. Its very good value, a lot cheaper than hotels in town and is only about five minutes walk along the river bank into town. Our room was quite large although the view was of a hedge but we were only there for one night... More

Have just come back from a weekend in Rye and stayed at The River Haven Hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble especially Linda the manager. Who last night let us have her parking spot as the car park was full. Will definitely be back again.

Have no complaints, especially as this hotel appears to be the only one in Rye that doesn't charge ridiculous rates. The room was spacious and comfortable and although the building may not be the most attractive it's next to the river and a short walk into the town and the train station. The buffet cooked breakfast was very good and... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Positives: it is really clean, good free parking, literally two minutes walk into town, nice breakfast, not much choice but well cooked. Room sizes are generous and all you need in the bedroom and bathroom. It is a little old fashioned but in comparison to the rates of other hotels it is recommended. We would... More

The River Haven is just outside the city walls but an easy walk down a quayside path which was quite pleasant. The room was nice, but very warm. Since there were no screens I couldn't open the windows due to bugs getting in. There is some traffic noise as it is on the main street leading into town, but was... More

The hotel was clean, bright, in good order and with a friendly welcome we were very pleased with our choice of accommodation. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom with a generous hospitality tray and bathroom toiletries and decent sized towels, great. The mattress however was very hard so sleep quality was not good for us but... More

Great hotel, the first impression wasn't great, with a short and grumpy welcome. After that the staff were very helpful and free WiFi and parking combined with close proximity to the lovely town, Great breakfast and great rooms. We were a large party of walkers, and found the hotel a highlight of the trip
