Food overpriced, only luke warm when delivered to the table, roast potatoes didnt even look as though they had been in the oven for more than a couple of minutes. Not recommended to eat here. more

We stayed in Rye last Monday and didn't fancy the hotel menu. We walked through the town and read all the menus: The Ship Inn's stood out a mile. I just came back from a great weekend spent at the Ship Inn. Having visited in December, a group of friends decided on a weekend beach get-away and once again the Ship didn't disappoint. This is a lovely place to stay for those who enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere without the tweeness which can infect towns as quintessentially olde worlde as Rye.
