The windmill was an excellent chioce for visitors without a car. Within walking distance of the train and bus stations, restaurants, and the entire town of Rye, it offered friendly service, an excellent breakfast ( especially for me-a vegetarian!), clean rooms (although a bit small, but with a large bathroom!), and a generally welcoming atmosphere. We booked for a weekend away & Rye is a fabulous place. However, I was disappointed having paid £75 a night for a superior room. On the good side: the food was excellent being tasty and well cooked.
