I stayed at the Old Borough Arms a few weeks ago with my husband, and it was wonderful! Welcomed by friendly staff who helped me with parking queries and good places to go for dinner . Room was great, lovely and clean comfy bed what more could you ask for! Full English for breakfast with plenty of toast, croissants and... More

We were lucky enough to get a spot on the newly refurbished terrace for dinner. We went for my husbands birthday and were not disappointed. The menu consisted of locally sourced food and had something for everyone without over doing it. We had antipasti to start with ice cold wine and the evening sun, perfect. I had the lamb tagine... A truly charming country inn. Exceptionally convenient location for strolling around Rye. Very good breakfast, and absolutely great roof deck (weather permitting) for evening drinks or breakfast. We had a very comfortable room with a clean, updated bathroom. Terrifically friendly and helpful staff, too.

Nice location and feel to the place. Car park opposite (Pay and display 0900-1900) Hotel and rooms fine. Breakfast good. Nice local pubs within 2minutes walk (One opposite) Bathroom clean, with toiletries, hair dryer. TV and DVD Player. One night stay, no problems at all. Useful note the hotel is accessible by steps outside

The Old Borough Arms was the perfect place to stay in Rye!!! It is a charming hotel with gorgeous rooms that marry an English cottage feel with a burst of modern vibrance. It is conveniently located just off Mermaid Street which puts you in a convenient location to explore Rye's small, winding streets. My husband and I stayed in Room... More

I stayed at the OBAH from 10-13th July 2014 with my wife and on arrival was shown to room 2, I agree with other reviewers comments regarding the size of the room and especially the shower room both were much smaller than expected. There is no where in the bathroom to place toiletries and eventually we balanced them on the... More

I was so looking forward to visiting my mum and seeing Rye what a BIG disappoinment not with Rye but the B&B. I was shown to Room 8 which was cramped dark and hot. For the price as far as I was concerned it was A RIP OFF, not a good first impression for our foreign visitors. You could not... More

The Old Borough Arms is a lovely little hotel on Mermaid Street in the charming town of Rye. Great location, easy to explore the streets of Rye, restaurants, cafes, pubs and the High Street all very close by. The rooms were cute, shower VERY small, which gave us a laugh, lets just say my husband is not a small build.......Breakfast... More

that at time of writing, this hotel is only ranked 19th out of 33! had a lovely time down in rye; it's a nice place that's well worth a visit (we were actually only staying there to take my dad to the romney, hythe and dymchurch and tenterden railways), especially if you like your history. the hotel is in a...
