Received a warm welcome on a recent overnight stay. Unfortunate that the building was in scaffolding and so did not look as expected. Had the ground floor double and a first floor family room. No complaints. The breakfast didn't start until 8 am and we needed to leave before this to get to Ashford for members of our party to... More

Had a a perfect couple of days in Rye, Old Borough Arms was a key part of our stay. Staff really friendly and helpful with eating out advice. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and very tasty local produce. We stayed in room 3, which was really well equipped and very comfortable. Try the Standard for a very good value... More

We had a wonderful long weekend stay, we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, a fabulous clean, relaxing, and comfortable hotel. A home from home. So enjoyable I have already booked to return.

Not only was the room, bar, balcony, town, surrounding area and weather all lovely, Sarah and Ian typify the friendly people of Rye. Welcoming and able to make some excellent recommendations we had a lovely weekend and enjoyed dinner at Webbe's and drinks with the locals at The Mermaid. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Stayed for two weekday nights whilst visiting the East Sussex / Kent area. Good location, there is no on-site car parking however your very close to several public car parks (one is just across the road) Owners not around on our arrival but staff very helpful showed us to the room. Room was clean, nice biscuits/tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets. Decent level... More

A good value hotel in Rye that is also an interesting place to stay - it is built into the old town wall and there are exposed sections of the wall inside the hotel. My only criticism is that the bed was far too soft and squashy; I did not sleep very well at all and I would not want... More

A lovely short break in Rye, East Sussex: we stayed at Old Borough Arms for a 3 day mid week break. It is in an excellent location for exploring the lovely town. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room comfortable, bathroom clean and the breakfasts excellent and freshly cooked. The only downside is the lack of own parking,... More

Wonderful people, from the Morning staff to the Chef every one is so friendly. Outstanding service, great rooms. Not to mention a breakfast that is cooked to perfection. Located within a few minutes walking distance of the High Street and the rest of old Rye town this is a lovely place to stay. Very welcoming and friendly owners and a clean room with all the facilities we needed for our night away. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

A moderate priced b and b within Rye, handy for the town and restaurants. No parking but you can park in car park nearby for £7 per day. Not sure if any of the other hotels in the centre have parking either, after all it's a medieval town! Excellent breakfast, service and comfortable bed and room, far outweighs the bother... More
