The staff should be taught how to dress in front of clients, especially at breakfast ! See through black tights are not the thing when one is four stones overweight, put me off me Black pudding! The room was tiny on the ground floor but, comfortable. The place could be a lot better with quiet a little more care and... More

I was visiting Rye for a wedding and had left it rather late to book a hotel. Luckily, I was able to book a couple of nights at the "Old Borough Arms". A really nice, comfortable couple of nights along with two very good full english breakfasts. Not too pretentious and good value considering the price of some of the... More

With a lack of proper hotels in this part of England, your choices are pretty much limited to bed-and-breakfast inns. This is a good little guesthouse, which I guess might be slightly down the peg from a bed-and-breakfast. Perhaps it's just the same thing with a different name. I'm not sure. Anyways, the Old Borough Arms has a great location,... More

Stayed here overnight for a family occasion. Owners are friendly and helpful, staff the same all good. Rooms are a good size, bathroom too. Had breakfast which was very good lots of choice from full English to fruit to cereal etc. The bar here has a good range of organic wines and beers so grab a drink and sit on... More

Three nights well spent. Scaffolding obscured the front part which spoilt the view but we were pleased to know the old building is being well maintained. Comfortable rooms, and really pleasant owners and staff. Breakfasts were top notch, and worth 6 stars. Easy walk to top sites and antique shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. Would stay... My friend and I stayed here for one night on a cycling trip across the south coast. The hostess was pleasant and helpful in meeting our needs. The price is a little expensive but I suppose it goes with the desirable location. Breakfast was of a high standard which helped counterbalance the cost. Nice place.

We didn't have a booking just called in on the off chance and after some really friendly haggling got a fabulous price for one night bed & breakfast. The room was lovely, really modern decor with a homely feel. Modern bathroom with nice complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee and bottled water which is a nice touch. Hairdryer and even an iron and... Always a pleasure to stay at OB Arms. Friendly staff, excellent accommodation and gorgeous breakfasts. Check out the kippers. It is lovely to have drinks etc on the newish outside terrace. Hotel has some pay and stay parking opposite but it is cheaper to park in station car park. OB Arms is close to everything that makes Rye special and... More

Really lovely room, comfy soft bed and spotlessly clean. We got a really warm welcome on arrival and had a great breakfast in the morning. Local bacon and eggs which were perfectly poached. The only thing I would be aware of is that, being an old building, you can hear people moving around outside and in the rest of the... More

Received a warm welcome on a recent overnight stay. Unfortunate that the building was in scaffolding and so did not look as expected. Had the ground floor double and a first floor family room. No complaints. The breakfast didn't start until 8 am and we needed to leave before this to get to Ashford for members of our party to... More
