Very nice place to stay. Romantic to walk around the cobbled streets at night. Breakfast was first rate – with good selection of hot meal choices. Get a large suite if staying here. One room has a hall bath. Queen sized beds are very small – width and length. Quiet location. Parking is a 3 minute walk and the area... more

We had a fantastic stay at Jeake's House -our room was charming and the breakfast was spot-on. They even allowed our dog in the dining room and gave her a sausage! We will definitely stay there again. more

Just had to echo everyone else's positive sentiments. Jeake's House is a real treat. I live in London but am from the U.S. originally, and you really can't imagine more charm than this. My partner, who's English, felt the same way. The hosts are so, so friendly (to the point where actually maybe it's a little weird for city people).... more

My only regret in booking Jeakes House is that I only booked for one night. We had what I understand was the cheapest room - and that was fantastic with an impressive inglenook fireplace and comfortable bed. The hotel was spotlessly clean, oozing with character and the hosts genial. The little touches also make the difference such as classy toiletries... more

Warmth and hospitality was the watchword at our recent stay at the Jeake's house. A charmingly furnished room with comfortable bed, and interesting public rooms with antiques and artwork were complemented by the genuine warmth from the owners Jenny and Richard and their staff , which made our stay in Rye so enjoyable recently. Super freshly cooked breakfast, and gentle... more

What a most enjoyable stay!! Great surroundings, fabulous accommodation and wonderful hosts. Then after a great nights sleep the best breakfast in England. I couldn't fault the stay in any way, except I didn't stay longer. I look forward to my next stay. more

We have just returned from a long weekend at Jeake's House, Rye. The guest house was amazing with incredible service - nothing was too much. We stayed in the Atkin Suite with a four poster bed and a little room for single occupancy which was great because my travelling companions were my Mum and my sister. We had heard about... more

Stayed for 2 nights recently and the location of the property is brilliant! Quite a steep cobbled street (so drive carefully) which will take you a while to find due to the one-way system in Rye. We received a warm welcome and shown to our room (Benson) which was richly decorated but had a small ensuite and an even smaller... more

Stayed for three nights during a cold and damp week in August. Charming small hotel in a picturesque street. Good breakfast and good service from owners and staff. The attic room is quite difficult to access up some very steep stairs but the standard of accommodation is high. Missed a shower in the bathroom. The surrounding area is delightful with... more

We had a wonderful time at Jeakes House in Rye. The location, on historic Mermaid Street, couldn't be better. The owners, Jenny and Richard, as well as the staff, made us feel completely welcome and had tremendous patience with our requests for things like driving directions in the area. We stayed in the Benson Room, which is absolutely charming --... more
