Just nice all the way through. Honesty bar a nice touch. Nice room, nice staff, exactly what I expect to find in a weekend break away. Small piece of advice - also look at restaurants in the area and prebook as all the recommendations were fully booked and we ended up at Carey's fish restaurant which was dire!!!

We had an absolutely perfect Christmas in Rye. Jeakes House has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the owners and staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Rye is full of olde worlde charm and Jeakes House continues this theme. We stayed in the Radcliffe Hall room which was spacious and the four poster bed was SO comfortable! I... More

Stayed one nght recently to celebrate a birthday. It was our second visit. The Radclyffe Hall room was gorgeous and well kitted out (very small bathroom). The four poster bed was a queen size and had a very comfortable mattress (the sheets were lovely). Breakfast was a highlight, this place has a wonderful breakfast menu which puts many much larger... My husband and I have just returned from a two night Winter Break at this absolutely delightful B and B in the heart of Rye. Although we have visited Rye very many times as it is only an hours drive from our home it was the first time we had stayed there. I have always loved Mermaid Street and so... More

Yet another fantastic stay at Jeakes, this is a slickly run family owned establishment and by far our most favourite place to stay. Thank you for a lovely experience again, we strongly recommend this hotel.

All perfect. Stayed in the cosy, comfortable Malcolm Lowry suite, enjoyed warm, unobtrusive hospitality, great breakfasts, the short stroll to either the Mermaid or the George Inn, and the quirky wonderfulness of Rye. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived at 12pm everything about Jeake's House was excellent. Our rooms were ready and we could drop our bags off and go an park the car without any issues at all. The rooms are all individually decorated and very different. Some baths, some larger showers than others etc, but that is the charm of such a... More

I came across Jeake's House at the recommendation of the local tourism office. Bless the day. A warm welcome to a home of comfy beds, thoughtful touches, warm welcome, and an extra mile with a smile. Add to that a terrific breakfast and touches that felt like you were not so much in an hotel, rather staying with friends you... More

Jeakes House personifies everything Rye stands for. Charming, historical, classy, unique. It doesn't feel like a B and B, the honesty bar/lounch area is like a gentlemen's club, the small sitting room is perfect for reading the complimentary papers or a nightcap. The breakfast room is full of history and the breakfast delicious. We spent a very enjoyable three days... More

This is our second stay at Jeakes House - and it is simply a wonderful hotel. Jenny and Richard have it pitch perfect at Jeakes - you feel like you are staying with a family friend, but with the run on the house. Breakfast is fabulous, the rooms are sumptuous and it is a Rye classic! An honesty bar with... More
