We enjoyed a lovely meal here during the Rye Scallop Week: delicious scallops and an excellent meal, friendly atmosphere and attentive service. I'd recommend this hotel for food and hospitality. We didn't stay here, but would certainly consider it on our next trip to Rye.

Alas stayed only 1 night on an Amazon deal and what a deal is was. our room with a great view no 6 on the 1st floor was a delight we felt very lucky when we entered to find a 4 poster bed and decor which was extremely tasteful and seemed fairly new. The bathroom was large with a good... More

We booked using the Amazon local voucher for one of the nights and paid full price for the other night. The hotel is ideally positioned for exploring the historic town of Rye. the room on the top floor was small but big enough. The shower was very small. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and... More

We booked this hotel using a voucher and it was very good value for money. Our room and ensuite were warm, comfortable and very clean. You don't expect supreme comfort on this kind of deal, so we expected ( and got) a small room with nowhere much to sit and an ensuite that was snug for two people. But there... More

Spent a night at this hotel in February. The room was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Oh, and the food was very good too! There are plenty of shops and restaurants in rye and a quaint little cinema. The cobbled streets are charming.

A romantic anniversary stay. Pleasant hotel with first-rate food at a very reasonable price. Close to all parts of town.....comfortable bar. Rye is a great place to go for a break with some interesting antique and curiosity shops. The Hope Anchor is recommended. Just two issues...the canopy over the 4 poster was a bit dusty. My partner did not like... More

Excellent little place tucked away. Very quiet, good bar, excellent bedrooms.Good price value but...don't have the Seafood Melody for dinner unless you are an afficionado of undercooked new potatoes and very little medley!. Breakfasts are very good but an abundance of sliced carrots, broccoli and courgettes with every main meal does get somewhat boring! Please Chef cut down on the... More

Bought as a present by our daughters. We had a one night stay. What an amazing hotel this is. Felt totally relaxed whilst here. The bedroom was lovely and the food in the restaurant was very good. We had a wonderful weekend away in this hotel. We stayed in a room at the top in the rooftops but very comfortable indeed. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We could not eat at the restaurant as they were fully booked but had drinks in the bar and breakfast was a feast the next morning. Would recommend... More
