One of these gems you find from time to time. Right on the high part of the town and beautiful for walks. Locate it on a map before you try and find it on sat nav as these streets are medieval. Park at the front to check in - then take directions to the car park.

My boyfriend and I went to Rye Lodge a few days ago. We were greeted by friendly staff and were taken to a small but clean room. After using the spa facilities , we discovered our Television was faulty. We were moved to another room (this one was spacious and modern) without a fuss. The hotel is old fashioned in... More

My best friend and I just needed a little chill out time and this was the perfect place, Many thanks to Suzi, Tony and Micheal for making us feel so special. Fantastic location for exploring Rye, we enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon tea, fresh sandwiches, very tasty home made scones and fruit cake, all washed down with a bottle of champers... More

My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay at this lovely hotel. We had booked the romantic getaway package, which included a deluxe double room, chocolates, flowers and champagne on arrival, a meal at a local restaurant and breakfast in the morning. We were lucky to be upgraded to the Champagne room, which is a lovely big... More

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and im glad you enjoyed your stay. The Spa is only open to hotel guests and as such during quieter times when it is not being regularly used we switch the sauna off. We will always switch it back on for guests upon request as it only takes about 15 minutes... More

Im very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. The spa is for the exclusive use of guests staying at the hotel. As such it is not used all the time and during quiet times the sauna and whirlpool are turned off to conserve energy. They will of course be turned on for guests upon request. Im sorry you were... The service, breakfast, location were great. Though the rooms were a little small for us. We found the bed small and the bathroom was tiny. Though it was clean and the staff were friendly. It was very traditional too, which is not out personal style.

Hi Katie, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Unfortunately i don't know which room you stayed in so i cant reply specifically. We do have a varied range of room sizes because we are within the citadel and the building was not originally built as a hotel. More

I had good memories of Rye from a childhood visit more than 50 years ago. When I saw a newspaper advert for Rye Lodge, I decided to book a short break there with my wife. Hoping that Rye would be as lovely as I remembered, we were not disappointed and the Hotel proved to be an excellent choice. A very... More

During our trip to Europe, we couldn't miss UK, but we were looking for a special kind of place: far away from the urban noise and agglomeration. Therefore we picked Rye. We stayed at Rye Lodge hotel for a couple of nights, where we discovered that some British values are still taken into consideration very seriously. The first value, that... More

Where to begin? The reception from this hotel was second to none. We were immediately given an upgrade to the loveliest, quirkiest and most beautiful room. Everything about it was perfect. Spotlessly clean and immediately wanted to stay longer. Rye itself is a fantastic place to visit and I would recommend The Rye Lodge Hotel as a great base. Everything... More

I had to participate to a seminar in Rye, UK, and I have been recommended to stay at this hotel. I was skeptical in the beginning, but after my arrival I understood why my colleagues recommended me this place: it looks very nice, it is clean and the rooms have a very attractive design. The hosts are friendly and they... More
