The service is excellent with a warm and friendly staff who make your visit special. Our room was cosy with good facilities and three interesting views. The location could not be better, free parking in the hotels own car park in the centre of town, easy access to the High Street with shops restaurants and areas of interest. At the end of... more

My husband and I cashed in some of our nectar points for a night at the Rye Lodge Hotel as part of the "Charming Getaways UK Smartbox" On arrival after a minor delay in finding a safe place to park, our bags were brought in and we were checked in without delay. Our room (no 5) was lovely, clean and... more

staff excellent, but the room for £200 a night was very tired looking and grubby. Paint peeling outside, though the flowers were beautiful. more

We stayed at the Rye Lodge end of April 2009. THe staff were pleasant and helpful and the room clean if a bit OTT on the decor. We decided to use this hotel because it as advertised in a 'gourmet experience' brochure. What a disappointment. Canapes that consisted of smoked salmon on rather dry bread. Not what I would call... more

We arrived in Rye in the dark, two lost souls who pulled up in front of this hotel and had the cheek to go in and ask for directions to a B&B we had seen in our not so trusty guidebook. The kind lady working the desk was more than tolerant with us and offered us the directions (which were... more

Had a really nice stay. Staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful from the moment i pulled my car up to the moment i checked out. The hotel has a private car park at the rear which is free for guests to use. This was a real bonus as parking is a major problem in Rye because... more

What a charming and delightful hotel, the room was lovely and the attention to detail in the rooms and throughout the hotel is absolutely wonderful. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff throughout the hotel were very polite and accomodating. The food was excellent and very tasty you could not fault in any way. We will certainly be going back... more

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend, the staff were polite and accommodating but the hotel is really only for people over the age of 70. The rooms and food were very overpriced and as for the wine list, their mark up was just ripping people off. £45 for a bottle that I drink regularly at £8.95 is just not... more

I stayed at Rye Lodge for 1 night with a couple of girlfriends. We absolutely loved Rye. I thought the hotel was overpriced and in need of updating. However, it's in a lovely spot and a 1 minute walk to the high street. The room was clean/ spacious and had a balcony (overlooked the car park, but had a nice... more
