An excellent 2 nights at the Dorset. The room was large, clean & comfortable, with very friendly, helpful staff. The food is very good and the rooms, suprisingly quiet considering this is a pub. Fantastic value for money, highly recommended.

We have loved the stay in the Dorset Inn, good room, good service, very good meals! I just found this place on the internet, and booked it by email. I received a friendly and quick answer. The menu made me decide to choose this place, and that was not a disappointment. The local beer from the brewery nearby was excellent... More

We had a one night stay and were impressed by the staff friendliness, the lovely evening meal, the excellent breakfast and the clean comfortable room. We'd definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

A well run, relaxed place. Food excellent. I had samphire, grey mullet, asparagus and home made beans for breakfast, all delicious. Most important, though my room was not elegant, it was very comfortable, and I was asleep every night by 10.0, with not a sound but the odd door closing. This in spite of the fact that the weather was... More

Stayed here for one night, there is no parking at the hotel but a public car park extremely close by. The signage said beautiful rooms, I wouldnt say room 3 was beautiful but it was large and reasonably clean. A few cobwebs but its an old place. The room had modern furniture, double bed and also a single. The facilities... More

We stopped off here for lunch on the way from Chester to Eastbourne. The food and service was very good - we had sandwiches which were well prepared and nicely presented. We sat outside at the front which was very pleasant in the sunshine. Harveys ale was available on handpumps which helped too! Parking could be a problem - we... More

We had 2 nights in the Dorset. Large, clean room, well appointed for the price range, comfortable, with good standard shower room. No noise whatsoever from the public house below. Seemed as though the rooms were situated off to the side in this ancient inn, so that no noise permeated. Parking good - the public car park was a few... More

My husband and myself have stayed at the Dorset a number of times and have been well impressed with both the rooms and the food. Very good value and the staff are so polite and courteous and couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely stay again. The location is brilliant for the quaint town of Lewes and the proximity...
