We stayed one night as the Inn is a convenient stopover when walking the South Downs Way. We were made very welcome, and very pleasantly surprised to find that the manager/chef is vegetarian, and uses only organic foods sourced directly from Covent Garden. The staff do their best to counteract the appalling rudeness of the manager. He is abrupt, unwelcoming and a certainly a contender for the Basil Fawlty Wooden Spoon award.
