I stayed in 3 of the properties at Mill Laine Farm with my two daughters, whilst looking for a house to rent in Lewes and they just got better and better! They are all in pristine condition, decorated simply but tastefully and kitted out superbly with everything you could need. Millers cottage is a delightful 16th century ( I think)... More

Millers Cottage Weather was great which was accompanied by friendly helpful owners. After arriving through a fraught journey the owners made us feel very welcome. Everything was great so we could relax and enjoy our trip. I would definitely recommend using these holiday homes. My partner really enjoyed all the lambs prancing around the farm - went well with the... More

We stayed for a long weekend in the cottages at Mill Laine Barns. We have been for many weekend breaks in cottages all over the UK, and honestly this was the nicest place we've ever been. The cottages were delightful, built of flint, newly decorated throughout, beautiful spacious rooms with light flooding through, new efficient heating & bathrooms, LCD TV... More

Had a truly delightful week here ,the barn is set in just stunning countryside .My grandson was enchanted by the horses ,cows and sheep on the farm. The Barn itself was home from home fully equipped with everything you need . A lovely bowl of fresh scones and jam, greeted us on our arrival. It all was just perfect and very... More

We spent a delightful few nights in the Miller's Cottage this time, over the Easter weekend; very cosy because of the Aga in the kitchen (not quite cold enough to justify lighting the log burner) - great to come back to after a day in the lovely Sussex countryside. Great welcome (especially appreciated, as the owners are in the middle... More

Location check, cottage check, customer service ... Arrived at the cottage for a 5 day break with 2 children under 3 and my mother and step father to find no hot water in the cottage. Called number and was met with a response of my husband will be over. No apology and a 2 days later heating still not fixed... More

snuffEngland, Owner at Mill Laine Farm, responded to this review

I received a telephone call on the Monday evening from our newly arrived guests in the Barn saying the water was not hot and they were putting their children to bed. My husband directly went over, not anticipating a major problem, all our boilers are new. He could not reset the system so we IMMEDIATELY opened the next door cottage,... More

We stayed in the Granary, which is big enough to accommodate 6-8 people, so was very spacious for just the two of us. There's everything you need for a comfortable stay, with lovely views onto peaceful countryside and a walk from the door right up onto the South Downs. There's an excellent gastro pub at the end of the farm... More

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids. It's meant to be for a couple as is a small 1 bedroom cottage but the owners were very accommodating and put up camp beds. It still felt roomy even with all of us. The setting is lovely. A half hour walk through the woods to Lewes and an amazing gastro... More

The cottage was not at all what we expected from the photos on the website. The photos show a double bed, an extra bed has now been put in. The lounge photo has furniture impossibly arranged so that the space appears large but would be totally unusable blocking doors and kitchen area totally. One photo is not of the Dairy... More

After having read few bad reviews of the dairy, I thought I would comment on our experience on last August bank holiday weekend. I booked the cottage before I found out how bad the reviews of the the Dairy were. If I had read them before, I wouldn't have booked. I'm glad I didn't! The dairy is a lovely small... More
