Stayed here on the Saturday night before the Brighton Half Marathon. Had a courtyard room which was reasonably spacious and well fitted, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very helpful in allowing us to park for a couple of hours (even though we had no booked overnight space. This allowed us to move out into the immediately adjacent street parking... We stayed here for two nights to spend a day exploring Lewes and a day at Ardingly Antiques Fair. Very well situated in the town centre, the hotel has one drawback, and that is the very narrow road it's located on, and the very small car park. We parked at the train station, which is only a short walk away.... More

Stayed on a Travelzoo deal given to us as a Christmas gift. Food good Excellent breakfast Service good Large room Large bed Nice setting Nice location Lots of soft pristine towels Very clean More than adequate for our needs We found room over heated until (we presume) the heating was turned off in the middle of night I would have... Having paid £200 for one nights stay, my partner and I were expecting a high standard of room. We were very disappointed as the room did not meet our expectations for several reasons. There was a patch of peeling paint due to what looked like damp in one of the top corners of the room. Also chipped paint on the... More

Stayed at this hotel on a Travelzoo deal for £259 for 2 night including dinner on one night, prosecco and chocolates. Our Executive room was ok but a bit shabby, chipped paintwork, mouldy grout in the shower and the toilet didn't seem to be bolted to the floor. I asked the frosty receptionist for a robe (as advised in the... More

A beautiful quaint hotel. Yet again I had a room overlooking the downs. Food is excellent, service very good, helpful staff. I have stayed her several times and will continue to do so. It is an old rambling building with no lifts.... but very beautiful... and right in the centre of Lewes close to the railway station

We stayed at Pelham House yesterday evening on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate, the room No 4 was well decorated clean and very charming with lovely views of Lewes and the gardens, all staff we met were very professional, helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant. Dinner was first class, chef catering for slight variations to the... More

I stayed here from Friday till Monday morning. Room was at the attack and probably an upgrade. Always good to mention that, because I booked a single room. It was roomy enough but the stairs to the second floor were a bit cramped and it was not easy to carry a heavy suitcase to the upstairs. no elevators are available,... More

Great stay at this very traditional hotel with modern ideas and decor. Good sized comfortable room and excellent food. The service and overall quality of my stay was outstanding and would thoroughly recommend a stay

We stayed at Pelham House just after Christmas for 2 nights and we weren't disappointed. We were made very welcome when we arrived at Reception, we had booked a car park space as the parking is limited, so you have to leave your keys with reception in case the car has to be moved. Our room was lovely, very clean... More
