After a slow journey on the North Circular and M25 we had a very warm reception from Sarah and her husband. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay and as other reviews have indicated breakfast was first class using only the best ingredients and cooked to order. This is a very traditional English home and with a traditional welcome... More

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend, and booked the double bedroom. Sarah is a wonderfully welcoming host, even when I arrived late after a bad train journey. The house is beautiful and all the little touches make all the difference - home made jams in the mornings and home made biscuits in the bedroom. And we both... More

A classic Victorian house, beautifully decorated and managed by a thoroughly charming couple. And we enjoyed what my wife claims is the best hotel breakfast she has ever had. I couldn't disagree. We were visiting our daughter in Brighton, where hotel accomodation and parking are expensive, and room availability problematical. So, knowing how attractive Lewes is, and an easy run... More

Impeccable housekeeping. Great helpfulness. And those wonderful touches -- fresh flowers in bedroom and fabulously eclectic books in room. And the ultimate luxury-- linen sheets. Huge attention to detail and everything served with great style -- a long time since I have seen butter curls in any 5 star hotel. And the most beautiful linen used not only in bedroom... More

Dubois Bed and Breakfast is close to all the amenities of Lewes and is only a stones throw from the delightful Pelham Arms (try the Tangle Foot ale!) as well as the High Street. We stayed here for the weekend and were delighted by the warmth of the hosts, the delicious breakfasts and of course, the superbly clean house. Initially... More

We stayed here for a night for a graduation in Brighton. The house itself is beautiful, a lovely town house with beautiful furnishings in a nice quiet part of town. Sarah was so lovely, greeting us warmly with homemade scones and tea! The rooms were delightful, warm, comfy and cosy, containing everything you could want and more. The breakfast was... More

Stayed here for a family wedding. Great location a short stroll from town. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean, friendly hosts and an amazing breakfast! Highly recommended! Still thinking about the delicious homemade cookies we found in the room on our arrival!

Just two bedrooms, one double, one twin. Beautifully furnished with true antique touches, great breakfasts. Sarah is a loverly hostess who greets you with a pot of tea and homemade cake on arrival. Nothing is to much trouble. We've stayed many times and Lewes is a great town to explore and half an hour from Brighton and even closer to... More

This is a beautiful Victorian house, with delightful gardens, set in a lovely leafy location of Lewes. The house is utterly charming. I had the double room which looks out over the garden with views of Lewes and beyond. There was a wonderful selection of books in my room, and a jar of Sarah's delicious home-made biscuits (a family recipe... More
