Stopped for one night on my Birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had a room with a four poster bed in it and although a little cramped it was very comfortable. Was unfortunately woken early by a baby crying in another room but this was all the noise we heard during our stay. Breakfast was excellent in the medieval... More

Enjoyed our overnight stop at this bed and breakfast. The owners work hard to make you feel welcome. The room was comfortable with a generous range of coffee and teas as well as fresh juice and milk in the mini fridge. They also supplied a large range of homemade toiletries which were lovely. The breakfast choice was fab, the homemade... More

Just spent 2 nights at The Minstrels Rest. I can honestly say it's the best B+B we've stayed in. Michelle and Phil are great nothing is too much trouble, the choice for breakfast was amazing 7 different sausages , numerous homemade jams and a selection of different shower gels in our room!! There were many extra little touches which made... More

We stayed at the Minstrels Rest for 4 nights at the beginning of November. The B&B was lovely and clean with a great medieval theme which was brilliant. The owners Phil and Michelle were brilliant nothing was to much trouble. The bed was very comfortable, we were in the four poster room, and the shower was great. Always hot water... More

We arrived at the Minstrels Rest and was greeted by Phil and Michelle and their lovely 2 cats. We stayed at this delightful B&B recently for one night. We loved the medieval theme, it was much more than what we expected. The room came with a 4 poster bed, which was very comfortable, clean and smelt lovely and fresh. The... More

Even though we booked this at the last minute, we were extremely pleased we did. About 1 mile from the front at Hastings it is very well located. The accommodation was very clean and the hosts were very welcoming and always pleasant. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed, and was everything we could have asked for.... More

As you will see from other reviews and the property's own website there is a medieval theme here which may not be to everyone's taste but that doesn't detract from the fact that behind this lies an excellent B&B, clean, very comfortable, welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast and well chosen extras (bottled water, fruit juice, fresh milk) in the rooms. The... More

An unusual themed B&B but so well done. Each room is individually arranged. Spotlessly clean, good decor and a lovely comfortable bed. Attention to detail is excellent down to the small pack of chocolate Minstrels in the room. . Breakfast was excellent with an amazing choice and again themed with music and crockery / plates. Quiet side road not far... More

Excellent attention to details. Minibar with complimentary water, juices, fresh milk and chocs. Really clean room and fantastic hosts. Breakfast was served in main area on ground floor on a fantastically prepared table. Bought some local ale from the owners ...should have bought more!! Home made marmalade served with breakfast also recommended.
