We arrived at the Minstrels Rest and was greeted by Phil and Michelle and their lovely 2 cats. We stayed at this delightful B&B recently for one night. We loved the medieval theme, it was much more than what we expected. The room came with a 4 poster bed, which was very comfortable, clean and smelt lovely and fresh. The... More

Even though we booked this at the last minute, we were extremely pleased we did. About 1 mile from the front at Hastings it is very well located. The accommodation was very clean and the hosts were very welcoming and always pleasant. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed, and was everything we could have asked for.... More

As you will see from other reviews and the property's own website there is a medieval theme here which may not be to everyone's taste but that doesn't detract from the fact that behind this lies an excellent B&B, clean, very comfortable, welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast and well chosen extras (bottled water, fruit juice, fresh milk) in the rooms. The... More

An unusual themed B&B but so well done. Each room is individually arranged. Spotlessly clean, good decor and a lovely comfortable bed. Attention to detail is excellent down to the small pack of chocolate Minstrels in the room. . Breakfast was excellent with an amazing choice and again themed with music and crockery / plates. Quiet side road not far... More

Excellent attention to details. Minibar with complimentary water, juices, fresh milk and chocs. Really clean room and fantastic hosts. Breakfast was served in main area on ground floor on a fantastically prepared table. Bought some local ale from the owners ...should have bought more!! Home made marmalade served with breakfast also recommended.

Stayed for two nights (21/23 July). This is am ideal base for touring the surrounding countryside. Rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean with all the amenities that one expects. This is a B&B establishment, the breakfast is faultless, cereals etc, a massive cooked breakfast with all the trimmings (and I mean ALL the trimmings) toast coffee/tea etc. The premises are... More

Phil and Michelle are a charming and imaginative couple who have turned their house into a medieval manor. You come in from a very ordinary Hastings street and immediately enter a medieval world. The highlight is the very large medieval banqueting hall, magnificent with its medieval treasures and decor. We had a small double bedroom, Blondel room, again kitted out... More

We stayed in this lovely bnb last night and i would highly recommend it. We stayed in the four poster bed room, which was very comfortable. It was very clean and smelt very fresh which was welcoming. There was a wise assortment of teas and coffees in the room with a mini fridge of water and juices which was great.... More

This is a beautiful hotel with great hosts. Set away from The seafront but easily accessible by a short bus or cab ride. The hotel rooms are exemplary. Beautifully set out fantastic ensuite facilities with complementary toiletries. Wonderful breakfasts each and every morning. The hosts Phil and Michelle go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Would highly... More
