Generally we stay in Premier Inn when looking for short breaks in England, this time we chose Travelodge due to price & location to central Hastings. The room was clean & the new mattress was indeed comfortable, as promised in their adverts. However the hotel could best be described as shabby, no loo cover in the bathroom with a lose... More

I stopped here for one night with my wife and we were very satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful and a special mention must go to the gentleman who worked in the kitchen and cooked the breakfast. He was very cheerful, helpful, polite... More

Very good location for the seafront, and surroundings are very nice - trees and grass, ideal if you have a dog, which we do. Plenty of parking. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Room was basic, but clean and perfectly adequate. A couple of small issues. I took our little dog out for a walk early in the morning, thinking... More

Ok, It is a basic offering from Travelodge, and arriving with no real expectation of surprises I am pleased to report that we indeed did not experience any surprises positive or negative. That said there were some niggles. The smaller points of finesse that would make a marked difference to the whole experience. No toiletries not the end of the... More

Hotel improved from last stay. Has had upgrade with decoration and the staff where much more helpful. Although it says it is about 1 mile into town to get to the main shops and attractions in Old Town it is at least double that. Main problem it is up a steep hill for walk back!

Without exception ALL the staff we dealt with here were helpful and friendly, with a special mention for David and Bud. We chose this hotel because it was in the location we needed for seeing friends in Hastings. The fact that there was a small restaurant was a real bonus. It was so nice to be able to eat in... More

Had a lovely midweek stay, would defo go back! Lovely time, nice room and nice breakfast all you can eat for £7.95 well worth the money, the meals in the evening are equally as good and we got a free fudge cake there was quite a wait for the food though but when we received it, it was delicious!

The hotel looks ok from the outside, but quickly gives up the facade. The wide carpeted corridor turns into a nasty motel-style rabbit warren with brick flooring. On checking into my room I discovered the hideous fluorescent tube bathroom light was broken. The flickering was so violent it was enough to set off a headache. After hiking all the way... More

The only saving grace was that I only paid £38 in the sale. The problems started with trying to find the place, it was not in my sat nav and my invoice did not give an address; so eventually trial and error was needed. When I did find it, you had to pay £3 to park or risk being "fined".... More
