It's is very run down Our room was very tired and decor was out dated , our heater was coming of the wall , sink was broken toilet seat not fix on correctly the windows not sealed and very draughty. The door was constantly banging with the wind blowing throw. The bed was clean and comfortable but the rest of... More

Stayed for 2 nights with my daughters aged 7 an 1 year old, had a nice time at the hotel. Staff were very friendly in particular the lovely receptionist lady who made sure our stay was comfortable. Had free parking, Rooms where big and clean, had a seafront view. Lovely Great location for the town centre as it was about... More

I often stay here, partly because of it's location, but mainly because I can pretty much always get a room at late notice. This is because, unlike many hotels, they have quite a lot of single rooms (most at the front with sea views which is great when the sea is stormy like today!) As a single traveller I am... More

.... Really good location, comfy bed, room was clean and lady at breakfast was pleasant, email correspondence was good. However..... On arrival some people were outside in the bus shelter drinking at about 4pm, we checked in and had two rooms one for my daughter and mother and one for my husband and I. My daughter looked out of her... More

Firstly, let me start with the positives. You can earn free nights booking this hotel with hotels.com 24 hour check in is possible which is a rarity amongst all the other seafront b&b / hotels There is a lift Negatives: Totally overpriced for the room standard. Looks like it hasn't been decorated in years, the room looks really grubby, carpets... More

We had a double sea view room - which was average and in need of modernisation. However, the location was great and Amanda on reception was fantastic - so helpful. The bed was comfortable and the really exciting find was the restaurant Jali attached. Fantastic Indian cuisine with a special menu. Presentation of food was superb and the service and... More

On arrival I suspected this place would be bad as the resident drunks were sat on the steps drinking flagons of cider and smoking. Judging the people milling about reception I suspect that this is also a residents hotel for people waiting for the council to find them alternative accommodation. The hotel has a very tired feel to it and... More

Receptionist was very helpful and lovely. breakfast was a bit disorganised and breakfast room wasn't that big either for the amount of people. food looked nice but there were people moaning it was cold.

This hotel is a bit run down and tired looking, however, it's perfectly fine for one night. We did have luke warm water for a shower on the first day. I also wasn't allowed to check in early (which is my fault, I should have checked, but I did think the girl could have been a little more helpful) so... More

booking almost last minute with friends for a night out, we found The Chatsworth was the only Hotel with 2 rooms available. Should have taken that as a clue but took the rooms anyway. Upon arrival the font door glass was smashed and stuck together with tape. The Hotel had a very "old" smell, tired and dull decor, like it... More
