Excellent is not good enough to rate this B&B! My family and I had a wonderful night here. I wish I could stay for few more nights. As other reviewers mentioned, it like living in a museum and/or travel in time. Imagine visiting those National Trust mansion, but this time I could actually touch every thing, stayed a night, sitting... More

Charming hosts who are passionate collectors and invite guests to experience the atmosphere they have created. The garden where we had tea is as lovely as the house. Quiet neighborhood on the hill with a pleasant walk down to the seaside.

Like sleeping in a museum, comfortable, beautiful with great attention to the detail, both in service and interiors. Wonderful gardens, and delicous breakfast eggs straight form St Benedict's chicken coop.

I was travelling down to St Leonard's on Sea for a housewarming party of a very good friend. It had not been the best day for me, that's for sure. I arrived at the St Benedict feeling particularly upset. I knocked on the door and received a very warm welcome .... I felt like I had been wrapped in an... More

What a great place. Incredible decor and gardens, beautiful rooms to relax in and the kind of breakfast you cook at home. Paul was a wonderful host. I'd love to return. I can't think I've ever been to a better B&B.

We do travel quiet a lot and wish to find more of these hidden authentic gems. Its a marvelous old victorian B&B restored with a lot of care and attention to detail with a discreet & personal service. Location to discover the very nice area is fantastic and shows the old charm it has if more was restored with the... More

I have stayed at St Benedict three times, and on each occasion there have been new things to see and admire. I look forward to the Music Room, with discreet widescreen TV hidden behind an Old Master, achieving baroque glory by the time of my next visit. My bed in the Colonel's Room was very comfortable indeed. The hosts provided... More

We booked the hotel at the last minute to spend a weekend away from London. We saw some photos and found quite nice so we just decided as it s close to Hastings. It is located on a normal street surrounded by houses. However, once we stepped in the house, it was another era with loads of antiques and interior... More

This place was jawdroppingly beautiful. The house has been transformed to its true Victorian state. No expense has been spared with its attention to detail and luxurious fabric, wall coverings and generally everything. The pictures only give you a small slice of what it actually feels like once you are there. Steven and Paul could honestly open this place as... More

This lovingly restored bed and breakfast is a late nineteenth century high Victorian dark beauty. Lovers of ecclesiastical art will find much to admire here. Enjoy leaf tea and cake upon arrival. Breakfast is served country house style in an imposing dining room. Forget the television for a few days. Come here. Read a book, in the beautiful garden perhaps... More
