Just returned from a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. The owner was absolutely charming and was so helpful, he was a fascinating host. The breakfast was lovely each day and lots of choice of food and drink. There was a great choice of books and magazines and wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were so comfortable and... More

Due to last minute problems with the electrical points in our room our charming host thought we would enjoy a candlelit ambience to compensate in addition to a very generous discount. Our stay was most delightful.Big comfy bed, ethnic decor and endless supplies of really interesting and diverse reading material. The biggest problem was to decide between all the delicious options we were... We loved it! Our room (Hafez) was delightful with lots of interesting designer type books on offer. Our host was so congenial, helpful and hard working. We had some delightful food and conversations. All in all a truly relaxing time.

I spent last weekend at The Cloudsley with my partner as a birthday treat and have to say, our experience there was most enjoyable. The host, Shahriar, was very friendly and in a very short time made us both feel very much at home with his interesting views about the local area, and his amusing anecdotes. Before showing us to... My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nIghts this week and we had a wonderful relaxing time. On arrival Shahriar was quick to point out the damage which had been caused by the relentless wind and rain of late. There was some water damage to some of the interior walls and the garden wall had been blown down. Neither... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Cloudesley this weekend. Beautiful rooms, decor and atmosphere in the entire building. Everything was perfectly spotless and well arranged; we were extremely well catered for. The host /owner was a pure delight and you can really feel his passion for the place, which gives it a really positive vibe. He is not only... More

Just returned from a a lovely relaxing weekend spent here. Shahriar is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. Calming, tranquil retreat, great for just getting away from it all. Comfortable bed and modern rain shower in large spacious rooms are a delight. Breakfast is a sumptuous feast. From full cooked English to omelette, with toast, cereal, fruit platters,... More

Impeccable decor, service and hospitality. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate any and all requests and I had to keep reminding myself that I was staying at a bed and breakfast rather than hanging out for a couple of days with a long lost friend in his beautiful home. The major push to get out of my... More

To describe owner Shahriar's stunning house as a mere B&B or guest house does it a huge disservice. For me it was a peaceful and charming retreat from London's froideur. You will love your host's gourmet breakfasts (try the omelette with figs, mushroom and bacon - to die for!), his warmth, generosity and ability to converse intellligently on almost any... More
