Found site on tripadvisor and booked and payed through Michael Paul Holidays in March 2015. Was sent confirmation that we would be in VIP4 Woodend 2, which was great. When we arrived on the 24/08/2015 we were told we would be in Woodside 15, which did set alarm bells ringing and i inquired why we were not in the lodge... More

Just back from a 7 night stay - the campsite is lovely, spacious, clean and we have been many times - but what a difference now Billy has gone. We arrived on the Monday and the campsite was fairly quiet and we pitched in the tent field with no problems. The first few days were lovely and peaceful, but on... More

2 years running arrived to find we had been allocated wrong size lodge. Lady in office (Sarah?) tried to fob us off, telling us that "twin lodge" meant twin beds .....not what the website says! After some discussion 2 other helpful members of staff managed to find us a twin lodge and we had a nice holiday. However we will... More

We have just got back from a 3 night stay at sheabarn and couldn't recommend it enough, it is a lovely site with all of the amenities you could require, the toilet/shower cubicles were clean and kept clean twice daily by the hard working staff, we had no trouble with noise from other campers in fact they were extremely helpful... Dear Steven, we were disappointed to see the poor comments in your review. In response, I can assure you that all guests travelling in commercial vans are asked to remove them from the campsite, and the group about whom we have received complaints (language & noise mostly) were asked to leave the park. With regards to the pool, please do... More

After driving for nearly 4hrs from Mansfield we were told they had sent us a email the day before at 5-30pm saying the luxury Lodge we had booked had a faulty Boiler ,so they offered us a caravan with no seaview or veranda at a reduction of only 50pounds which works out at only 7pounds per night to say I... Nice experience. But it really does depend on the crowd that are there........no real security at site and dogs left to roam etc. I suppose they are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea really.... They do need to make more effort with 1.. Better security 2. Some sort of "Dealing with Public" course I bet I wont... More

Thank you for your comments Cobby1812 Our apologies for delay in response at this time of year, as you can imagine we are very busy... We have a contracted security company who monitor the site between 7:00pm & 2:00am. As you will see from our previous replies, anyone causing a disturbance will be warned or asked to leave. The lodge In the holiday park was lovely. Comfortable, clean and well managed. Awesome view and not too far from Hastings beach front. Very lovely swimming facilities. They are reasonably priced and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

I have just returned from a 5 night stay at Hastings touring park. My family and I have visited a number of times over the past two years and have always had a wonderful time but unfortunately this time was disappointing. The camping experience here has really changed due to many factors. I think the setting out of tents, campervans... More

Dear Mariner18 We very much appreciate your comments regarding spacing & privacy on our site - we have set out 10 metre squared pitches to maximise potential in the space we have, but we do adhere strictly to fire regulations & leave no less than a 6 metre gap between tents/vans/motorhomes etc.. Having mixed types of accommodation in the same... More
