This was booked at short-notice, I have stayed in Hastings many times at several hotels whilst on business and I must say the hotels are very nice, clean and friendly service, however I have never stayed at The Grand Hotel before this had been my first time and will defiantly be my last time. I was met by Peter who... More

We booked this hotel via our travel agent. Our stay here was very bad, the owner is not friendly, the rooms are smal, not clean and you can hear all your neightbours. The breakfast is poor. No parking spaces. The only positive point was, like the owner mentioned, 'the sea view'.

We booked a room here as everywhere else was fully booked. The cost of this for a double was £110 per night. When we first saw the hotel in front of us we thought oh my god what a dive!! It took us 20 minutes of driving round trying to find a car park and ended up parking futher down... More

The Grand in Hasting was our fifth B&B on a trip through the UK. Based on the reviews here we were dreading to go there as it did not seem good. But how wrong that impression was! I can really not understand how this place has gotten such bad reviews. We stayed in the The Grand for 2 nights and... More

Was desperate for another night at Hastings and sadly this was the only pace tat had a room. My wife , myself and our two children were so scared off by the owner and his strangeness we decided it was better to go home instead. Just so creepy and did not feel safe. Returned home and read other reports on... More

Arrived here after staying at B @ B all over England and Scotland The room was on the top floor at the back of the building After lugging our bags up five flights of stairs I opened the door and it looked like a room in a homeless shelter. The rooms were shabby the chair was old and dirty and... More

Worse place I have ever stayed, very over priced and in need of a lick of paint. No hair dryer in the room, Tiny wardrobe for three of us. The owner was the creepy and odd. We didn't get to taste breakfast as it was over by 8.30am!!!!!! Should be shut down Carley M

Absolutely shocking. Do not stay here. £100 for a totally unfit room is a poor joke and the staff unhelpful and ufriendly. Easily my worst hotel experience in recent years. Look around for alternatives...

I have seen the other reviews and read them with a tinge of sadness but appreciate every experience is different. We booked a family room for one night which was basic and at the end of a maze of corridors but clean and quiet. The reception is on the landing which we found quite amusing. The owner, Peter, was delightfully... More
