This is not a hotel it's a terrible b&b.. it is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. went out with friends and family who said that they could have told me how bad it was.. I wish I had known before.. The owner is very odd.. the whole place is dirty and creepy and should be... More

This building is old and has its own quirks, wonky stair cases, gaps between floor boards ect. Our experience included a very nice welcome and clean functioning room with a great view. It doesn't matter that the room numbers aren't in order as you only need to know where your room is. I also noticed a book case full of... More

Booked hotel through a comparison site. Sounded grand but wasn't. I think the previous two reviewers had a similar experience to us. We actually took the room at the top of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the welcome friendly, but all in all, it wasn't the best of hotels. If you want somewhere to sleep, with little by... More

We when to Hastings to go for a spa day ,this was the only hotel available due to the Pirate event going on ,on the Sunday. Well we couldn't find the hotel as there wasn't a sign ,no parking and it was the most unclean hotel I have ever been in ,the owner /manger stank of alcohol and was very... More

Filthy, dirty, cold, Wi-Fi rubbish, using 3G. Booked for 3 nights not staying though found some where else. Sea view brilliant if only the windows were clean enough so I could see it! In view of the lack of hygiene no intention of having breakfast. This place is like some bizarre episode of the Adams Family! Do not enter!

Booked a last minute weekend break the only hotel not booked up was the Grand. When we arrived a very warm welcome for us couldn't fault that but it was more like a B&B and very tired we did pay the same sort of rate as a 4* in Central London so a little disappointed however all of the staff... This isn't a luxurious hotel by any standards but it does what it says on the tin. It's an older property with older furniture not my style but all fine for a night. We had a large room (21) with fabulous views right over the beach and sea. Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. The shower was small and... More

I was unfortunate enough to have to stay here for a rather long time, and you know when they say "an eternity in Hell?". Yeah... you get the idea. So when I first arrived outside this hotel I had no idea if it was even open or not. There wasn't really a sign outside and it looked abandoned but I... More

This was booked at short-notice, I have stayed in Hastings many times at several hotels whilst on business and I must say the hotels are very nice, clean and friendly service, however I have never stayed at The Grand Hotel before this had been my first time and will defiantly be my last time. I was met by Peter who... More

We booked this hotel via our travel agent. Our stay here was very bad, the owner is not friendly, the rooms are smal, not clean and you can hear all your neightbours. The breakfast is poor. No parking spaces. The only positive point was, like the owner mentioned, 'the sea view'.
