We enjoyed our stay and we are definitely coming back soon. It was a lovely atmosphere and you feel like you have known Rick and Jane for years they are so friendly. The breakfast is amazing and offers a wide range for everyone, they will even cook whatever you fancy if you let them know the night before. The rooms... more

A little quaint old fashioned building with lots of character, lovely couple and good hearty breakfast - cooked well, however........if you have the four poster on suite bedroom, please beware that at this time of the year we found it very chilly throughout our 3 night stay, despite asking politly to adjust the temprature control. We were led to believe... more

We have just returned from a long weekend spent at the lodge. The service is excellent and very friendly. Ricky and Jane put that little extra into there house such as Shower gels razors (just in case you forgot) all the little things you would expect a top class hotel to have. I would recommend this cosy lodge for that... more

What a lovely experience. Hearty breakfasts. Spotless rooms, the power shower was a great warm up after a rainy day. Stayed in the four poster room and the little touches meant the world. Champagne, chocolates. Spoilt rotten by two lovely people who work VERY hard on ensuring comfort. We have stayed in top hotels over the Country at £200 a... more

We are seasoned travellers and fortunately rarely get it wrong, but boy oh boy did we get it wrong when we booked this place. While I must say that the owners were very friendly and helpful, that is where the pleasant part of the stay stopped. We booked the Four Poster Room, expecting something gorgeous since this is, indeed, a... more
