Fantastic guest house with all you could need. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Room 8 on the top floor was spacious and comfortable. A little noisy but it's s small price to pay for such a good location.

Just back from a two night stay over the weekend at the Griffin. It is just a stones throw from the Lanes/Laines, seafront, shops, pier. with many bars and eateries just round the corner. Our hosts were lovely - gave us the heads up on where to go/eat etc and where to avoid! The breakfasts were fantastic and luckily we... More

My wife and I have just returned from two nights in Brighton where we stayed at the Griffin. Hosts were very friendly and provided a freshly cooked English breakfast or alternatives on each morning. Free wifi available and the room, though small/compact, had everything we needed and was quite comfortable, though on the warm side (a standing fan was available... More

We stayed 4 nights at Griffin Guest House. The location is perfect, just near Pier, Brighton Wheel and Royal Pavilion. There are a lot of pubs and restaurants near. One of them is on the other side of the street, it is really nice. But in the evening it makes noise... The room is big, very comfortable and well designed. We... More

Used to stay in a variety of hotels and B&Bs in Brighton, but now pretty much always stay here because of the lovely rooms, service and location. Perfectly located in Kemp Town opposite a fantastic pub and a minute from the sea. Also near to the town centre, so the world's your oyster from the minute you check in. Your... More

Just back from a 3 night stay in room 5 of the Griffin. Room 5 is located at the back of the guesthouse and has a double and a single bed. Noise levels were fine there. Room 5 is great and has everything you need, including a hairdryer, music player, iron and mini ironing board and a mini fridge. The... More

Two of us had a great long weekend in Brighton staying at Chris and Kieron's lovely guest house. Stylish, comfortable rooms and friendly, welcoming people. Loved the tea/coffee room with all the fantastic orchids and other plants. We had a great time and the guest house was close to the pier, Brighton Eye (right at the end of the road)... More

We've stayed at the Griffin twice now and I can't think of a guesthouse I've liked more. Kieran and Chris are wonderfully hospitable and seem to have thought deeply about how to make people's stay a comfortable and enjoyable one. Beautifully appointed rooms, scrummy breakfasts and the inside track on where to go in Brighton. A hearty recommendation from me.... More

Stopped here for 3 nights with my hubby and 2 teenage daughters. Fantastic location, rooms were amazing especially ours! Breakfasts were the best we've ever had, great combinations. Kieran and Chris were great hosts, the only thing to complain about were the seagulls 😉 would definitely recommend and we plan to return.

You can not really call The Griffin a guest house. The level of service, cleanliness and quality of rooms put some 5* hotels to shame. Yes, probably pay a little more that the average Guest House in Brighton, but it is worth every penny. I would not normally last 3 days in a small 'guest house' - it would probably... More
