A real gem of a B&B amidst other over priced and gimmicky alternatives. Great location - front rooms have views of what was the West Pier - and a short walk to the Lanes, shopping, pubs and restaurants. We were lucky to get the balcony room, which is a real treat and well worth the upgrade. Lots of lovely little... more

What a great place, and the two owners, Steve and Sure are very helpful and kind people. I booked for a fortnight at George the IV while I was in the UK attending a wedding and I cannot wait to come back. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful, a period town home and its right in the centre of... more

My husband and I wanted to visit Brighton and took great care to read reviews online and research the area prior to booking our accommodations. The reviews for this B&B were excellent so we decided to book and were not disappointed; in fact our expectations were exceeded! We are not the first to say this is probably “the best room... more

Our room was spotlessly clean, it was beautifully decorated and immaculately furnished. The owners couldnt have been more helpful. Little touches like the bone china tea set at breakfast (delivered on a breakfast trolley to our room- were fantastic). The balcony overlooking the green and the views to the sea made it very special. We cant wait to to go... more

We must have had the best room in Brighton! Amazing view and really well furnished room. The balcony was probably our favourite part - made better by the weather. We were surprised at the attention to detail that was taken with the room - guide books, ipod speakers, tea and coffee etc. Really clean and tidy - we would happily... more

We stayed at the George IV for the Great Escape Festival in Brighton. For our stay we booked a Double Sea View room (6) which was really well appointed, great furniture, very roomy (almost like a Suite), lovely décor, very in-keeping with the style of the Guesthouse. The view is great looking directly down over the wreck of the West... more

It's been 2 weeks and me and my partner still can't accept that our weekend break at the George is over! Truly a home from home, we felt so pampered and comfortable and hope to one day return. Kate and Theresa more

My sister and I stayed at this small hotel just before Easter. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the welcome and cleanliness of George IV. The location was ideal for us, near the sea front, quiet and in close proximity of town. Our rooms were great. I stayed in the single room and enjoyed it's cosiness and cleanliness -... more

We stayed for one night in the balcony room over a bank holiday weekend. The balcony room was beautiful and, in our opinion, worth the extra £15. The difference between this and a double room is that you have access to a balcony overlooking Regents Square and beyond that, the sea. You access the balcony through floor to ceiling length... more
