We must have had the best room in Brighton! Amazing view and really well furnished room. The balcony was probably our favourite part - made better by the weather. We were surprised at the attention to detail that was taken with the room - guide books, ipod speakers, tea and coffee etc. Really clean and tidy - we would happily... more

We stayed at the George IV for the Great Escape Festival in Brighton. For our stay we booked a Double Sea View room (6) which was really well appointed, great furniture, very roomy (almost like a Suite), lovely décor, very in-keeping with the style of the Guesthouse. The view is great looking directly down over the wreck of the West... more

It's been 2 weeks and me and my partner still can't accept that our weekend break at the George is over! Truly a home from home, we felt so pampered and comfortable and hope to one day return. Kate and Theresa more

My sister and I stayed at this small hotel just before Easter. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the welcome and cleanliness of George IV. The location was ideal for us, near the sea front, quiet and in close proximity of town. Our rooms were great. I stayed in the single room and enjoyed it's cosiness and cleanliness -... more

We stayed for one night in the balcony room over a bank holiday weekend. The balcony room was beautiful and, in our opinion, worth the extra £15. The difference between this and a double room is that you have access to a balcony overlooking Regents Square and beyond that, the sea. You access the balcony through floor to ceiling length... more

We stayed in the sea-view balcony room, which lived up to our expectations: beautifully furnished, with plenty of places to sit, and a comfortable modern shower. Ideally comfortable bed and duvet. There was a good choice of (uncooked) breakfasts, delivered promptly to the room. The hosts were warm but unobtrusive - we would certainly be happy to return. more

I've just come back from a weekend in Brighton, staying at George IV. It was definitely the best hotel I've stayed in - good service, clean, modern rooms and breakfast in bed! The view from the front facing rooms is lovely, and the location is great - really close to the centre of town and, of course, the beach. I... more

The owners of the guesthouse are extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment you call to make a reservation. When you then turn up it just gets better! They are extremely welcoming and keen for you to enjoy your time in Brighton. The rooms are very good, of a good standard for a guesthouse such as this on the Brighton... more

Just back from a couple of days at the George IV Guest House and thought I'd write my first Trip Advisor review to say how good it was. My girlfriend and I stayed in the balcony room for the first night and the sea-view double upstairs (room 3) on the second night as the balcony was booked. The balcony room... more
