The traditional pub is your reception, the fire is running and you can check in with a pint in your hand. You are in good hands at this hotel, kind hosts who take care about their guests. Good for people who like something personal. Very close to the beachside. more

Just off the seafront right on the border of where trendy Brighton meets charming Hove ths is a real find. Very spacious and clean family room at an an incredibly reasonable price. The rooms are basic but have stayed in simpler rooms in larger more expensive hotels. Staff were very accommodating even when we were a bit needy. Room was large and nice and clean, shower was modern even if a little too hot and furious. Right by the beach and walking distance to town. Would nt recommend it to older people... more
Have stayed in pubs before and definitely do not expect perfection, but this was not very nice. Rooms a bit like hospital ward rooms, stained carpet, cracked sink, shower was cold in the morning and was hard to control. Our stay started with a very friendly welcome. All the staff were great, the double room we had was huge with a double shower and sea views. Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely recommend this place to any one. more

The Iron Duke, being one of the oldest historical buildings in Brighton, is a fun place to experience pub life and old rural England.
