Second time to Avalon B&B, and won't be our last. I took the sisters and kids, we all had a blast. Breakfast was delicious, our rooms were brilliant and perfect for us. Only noise was typical Brighton noise that we want to hear (seagulls and people enjoying themselves). We were probably the noisiest. Thanks again xx

This year will be our fourth annual visit to the Avalon Guesthouse, it's in a good location to explore Brighton, has some good restaurants/shops/pubs located nearby and is within walking distance of the town center/ pier. The guesthouse is affordable, bedrooms are clean although could do with some updating in places, the owners are very friendly, allow dogs to stay... More

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at the Avalon. I was a little worried about my trip as it was just me and my dog, I needn't have been, we were made to feel very welcome at this charming b&b. I stayed in the Imperial room which was very cosy, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owners were very... More

We have just returned from an Easter break at the Avalon. We often go down to Brighton as a family, but this time we had our Cockapoo Jessie with us so were looking for a dog friendly B&B. Having read other reviews, we were looking forward to trying the Avalon and they didn't disappoint! The nicest thing about this B&B... More

I've stayed in alot of guest house's in Brighton and this one is by far the one I will always try and go back too. Our room was quirky and so cosy. Ideal for our family of three. Most of all lovely George offered to get up really really early just to make me porridge for my marathon. Yes this... More

Was looking for a GOOD rating, this place isn't average at all but is looking a little tired now so not very good. The hosts are lovely and we have stayed here a few times, brought the dog a couple of times and they make you feel very welcome and the hound as well..!!! Well situated within Kemptown and only... Myself, my wife and Millie (the little dog) have just returned from another fab weekend at the Avalon. Brian, Tom and George are the most genuinely friendly people around. Very good hosts and lovely people. The breakfast was really nice and nothing was no trouble. Millie had a sausage the first morning and steak on the Sunday!!! If you only... More

My husband had whisked me and our little border terrier off to Brighton for a long weekend and we had a great time staying at the Avalon. We had such personable and attentive service, and from the reviews of this hotel, I know other people have also had the same warm reception when arriving to the hotel, so it just... More

We selected this accommodation for our one night stay having searched on dog friendly sites and viewed trip adviser reviews. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and exceptionally helpful from arrival ( issuing a parking permit , guiding us to a street where a parking space was available , taking us to a park to walk our dog , helping with... We really enjoyed our stay at the Avalon and we were made to feel really welcome right from the start. Our room and en-suite were compact but had everything we might need (including a waiters friend, freeview, wifi and a hairdryer) and was comfy, cosy and warm. The whole place was also really clean; there was no hint that it... More
