Myself, my wife and Millie (the little dog) have just returned from another fab weekend at the Avalon. Brian, Tom and George are the most genuinely friendly people around. Very good hosts and lovely people. The breakfast was really nice and nothing was no trouble. Millie had a sausage the first morning and steak on the Sunday!!! If you only... More

My husband had whisked me and our little border terrier off to Brighton for a long weekend and we had a great time staying at the Avalon. We had such personable and attentive service, and from the reviews of this hotel, I know other people have also had the same warm reception when arriving to the hotel, so it just... More

We selected this accommodation for our one night stay having searched on dog friendly sites and viewed trip adviser reviews. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and exceptionally helpful from arrival ( issuing a parking permit , guiding us to a street where a parking space was available , taking us to a park to walk our dog , helping with... We really enjoyed our stay at the Avalon and we were made to feel really welcome right from the start. Our room and en-suite were compact but had everything we might need (including a waiters friend, freeview, wifi and a hairdryer) and was comfy, cosy and warm. The whole place was also really clean; there was no hint that it... More

My wife, mother in law, myself and our 2 dogs have stayed at the Avalon every year for 6 years now, and theres umpteen reasons why we keep going back....but the main reason is the unrivalled hospitality and love we are shown each and every time by the owners/hosts : Brian, George, and Tom. Without a doubt 3 of the... More

This was our 5th visit and we'll be returning for sure. We love everything about the Avalon. Brian, Tom and George are the best. The fact that the b&b is in the heart of Kemp Town is a plus too. Only 10 minutes by foot to the busy city centre and 2 minutes to the seafront. And our dog loves... More

Great place to stay, in fact, the best place to stay if you are planning to visit Brighton. scores high on location. But the best thing about the place is the warmth and comfort that one feels with Brian, Tom and George taking care of everything, wonderful breakfast (they made vegetarian sausages for me), advising us on the places that... Lots to recommend here in terms of great location for everything in Brighton and Kemptown, and excellent breakfast, but best of all is the welcome you get from Brian, Tom and George. They are a joint fount of knowledge for good places to eat, interesting to talk to about all sorts, and they go out of their way to make... More

Brian, Tom and George continue to give a very warm home from home welcome to the Avalon. Breakfast is still the best start to the day. Our dog was made very welcome. We got told about the local Turkish restaurant and it was worth a couple of visits. Nothing was too much trouble and on the very hot days there... More

I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of June 2014 and had a great time. The owners were so friendly and very helpful. Got a really good rate for the room (which was a really nice size with good facilities- fridge/tv/hot chocolate and tea/en suite). It is a leisurely walk from the pier and centre of Brighton, lots...
