We really enjoyed our stay at Avalon, the location is ideal, I even went for a run along the beach (1 min down the road). The bedrooms are comfortable and well decorated. The breakfast is amazing definitely one of the best english breakfast ever (with healthier options that George cooked for me). The carpet in the stairway might need to... More

We've just returned from a few wonderful nights and we're already missing Brian, Tom and George, the chaps that run this little gem of a guest house. The best thing of all about the Avalon is we can take our dogs, our little boys and they're made so welcome. The room ( the king size) is perfect; bath, shower, fridge,... More

We were looking for a family wedding/weekend guesthouse that could also accommodate our family pet (Buster the bulldog) along with 10 adults & 2 children & we couldn't have made a better choice! Welcome was extremely warm, the rooms comfortable & the breakfast excellent. The guys made us feel so "at home" it'll be hard not to stay there again... More

I can see from the reviews that I'm an outlier in my opinions, as most people like it here, but in this age of cowardly complaint-by-proxy, I know the owners read this and wanted to impart my thoughts. Firstly the good: The owners are lovely. Helpful, cheerful. They remember your name - a small point but one which is important... More

Second time to Avalon B&B, and won't be our last. I took the sisters and kids, we all had a blast. Breakfast was delicious, our rooms were brilliant and perfect for us. Only noise was typical Brighton noise that we want to hear (seagulls and people enjoying themselves). We were probably the noisiest. Thanks again xx

This year will be our fourth annual visit to the Avalon Guesthouse, it's in a good location to explore Brighton, has some good restaurants/shops/pubs located nearby and is within walking distance of the town center/ pier. The guesthouse is affordable, bedrooms are clean although could do with some updating in places, the owners are very friendly, allow dogs to stay... More

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at the Avalon. I was a little worried about my trip as it was just me and my dog, I needn't have been, we were made to feel very welcome at this charming b&b. I stayed in the Imperial room which was very cosy, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owners were very... More

We have just returned from an Easter break at the Avalon. We often go down to Brighton as a family, but this time we had our Cockapoo Jessie with us so were looking for a dog friendly B&B. Having read other reviews, we were looking forward to trying the Avalon and they didn't disappoint! The nicest thing about this B&B... More

I've stayed in alot of guest house's in Brighton and this one is by far the one I will always try and go back too. Our room was quirky and so cosy. Ideal for our family of three. Most of all lovely George offered to get up really really early just to make me porridge for my marathon. Yes this... More

Was looking for a GOOD rating, this place isn't average at all but is looking a little tired now so not very good. The hosts are lovely and we have stayed here a few times, brought the dog a couple of times and they make you feel very welcome and the hound as well..!!! Well situated within Kemptown and only...
