Perfect location - a short walk from all of the local attractions and nightlife, but set on a quiet street. Clean B&B with very comfy beds, a good shower (in ensuite room) and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend for a weekend break in Brighton!

Recommend if you just need a place to crash in central Brighton. Ideally located, close to the pier, the lanes and nightlife. Friendly, welcoming staff and excellent value overall. Comfy bed and a decent shower. Only downside is that the décor is a bit dated and the wifi was slooow.

Stayed at the kelvin for a weekend. Rooms very nice only down side was the bathroom. The shower was great but the sink rather small in fact I've seen bigger dog bowls. Trying to shave was impossible without throwing water all over the floor as when you bent over your head hit the mirrors shelf lol Apart from that staff... More

40 minutes wait outside in the cold before I could get in (phone calls were not returned, until Hotels.com tried to contact the owners). Nobody actually came to check me in - I was given instructions how to get in and find my room key - hospitality??? Customer service??? The delay TOTALLY ruined my trip to Brighton - I missed... More

This hotel appeared to be quite highly rated on tripadvisor so I had quite a high expectations from it. However, other than the fact it's in a good location, I am not convinced it is as good as it should be. Not sure if it is down to the fact I only paid £34 per night (reduced from £40) for... More

This place is ok but it's not great, it's a pokey guesthouse in a good location for the beachside and central Brighton but we were not too pleased paying £200 for two nights and expected more for our money. On arrival to our little room we noticed the heat didn't work, when we asked the next morning we were told... More

Great location, comfortable beds, a few minor niggles stops it being 5/5: Wifi doesn't reach top floor and no lounge to use downstairs Shower bracket broken so had to hold the shower Breakfast only offered salty butter which doesn't really go with jam These slight things aside, we would stay again

First time id been to brighton since 1992. I wanted budget prices accommodation close to the centre as i didnt bring the car because of the parking charges . With Patrick and Patricia i got everything, clean rooms, good breakfast, great hosts. Will be coming back next year and will recommend the kelvin to my friends

For the overall cost of the b & b this not value for money. The location is fantastic, right opposite the beach and also all the shops/ bars etc. This was fantastic for me in my heels! However the rooms are very small and basic, the bathrooms can barely squeeze one person and when brushing your teeth I could hardly... More
