Received a friendly and relaxed welcome from Paul, who took time to describe the area for us. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well-decorated. Location was ideal for town centre, beach and pier attractions. Courteous service throughout, with a tasty, well-cooked breakfast ! more

A small group of us came down to Brighton for a weekend away to celebrate a mate's birthday. We found the Kelvin on the web and liked the look of the place, so booked. We were not at all disappointed, we had a great weekend. The location is ideal, just off the seafront, so although it is close to nightlife,... more

I recently stayed at the Kelvin and I was pleasantly surprised. Recently renovated, the rooms were modern and clean and came with a great power shower. The breakfast was great and the people who run it were really nice. Whenever I go to Brighton I will definitely go back to this place! more

Had the pleasure to stay at The Kelvin Guesthouse in Brighton. I say pleasure, because it really was. The owners are great guys, kept us laughing the whole time we were there, particularly Paul, he is a bad boy! The house is beautifully decorated and cared for, Spot On, our room was nicely furnished with a bathroom shower that was... more

The Kelvin is really well situated, just off Brighton's seafront in a quiet residential street that nevertheless close to the amenities of St. James Street. The warmth of the welcome starts when you are shown to your room, and continues all during your stay. Rooms are nicely furnished in warm, quiet colours of creams and butterscotch with excellent facilitites. The... more

The Kelvin is a fantastic place to stay. Paul the owner was great, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. He was happy to recommend places to go to eat and drink etc. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, although a little small. The sink in the bathroom was barely big enough to brush your teeth in without getting... more

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and comfortable by our host Paul. Paul made knowledgeable suggestions on restaurants, pubs and places of interest on this out first visit to Brighton. The room was bright and clean. The bathroom, recently remolded was very adequate. The complementary breakfast in the cozy dinning room was fresh, made to... more

Found The Kelvin on the internet and liked what we saw. Rang the hotel and spoke to the owner, now know to us as Paul. We had an amusing conversation and we booked for the weekend in one of the en-suite rooms. We arrived at the house in the evening and had a warm welcome from Paul who was just... more

I only ever stay in 5 star hotels and was booked this room through business. After checking out web site thought I'd give it a try. So pleasantly surprised. Friendly welcoming owners. Fresh, clean contemporary furnishings and fittings. Super king bed, flat screen tv. Just as good as my bedroom at home, in fact better cos I didn't have to... more
