We stayed for two nights. Glad it wasn't longer. The windows looked like they had not been cleaned in years and some glass was broken and there was no handle to open them. So it was stuffy and hot during the night. The shower took forever to get warm - you had to turn it on and leave it for... More

Me and my boyfriend arrived at the hotel after a long train journey expecting a warm and cosy reception. On arrival we had to ring a bell and wait to be let in. Then we were told we had to pay up front even though we thought we had already paid on booking as they took our card details. After... More

Arrived at Hamptons and with no parking for the place we had to pay £6 for four hours for parking nearby so ended up spending £20 for parking in one day. Scaffolding all over the building, showed reception my confirmed payment of mine and my boyfriends room that my mum booked and payed for online..then got told we haven't paid... More

Arrived at this hotel after booking on phone, so they knew we were coming. The hotel is covered in scaffolding at front and the parking has been suspended opposite (there is parking further down though). Upon entering the first thing you notice is the smell of damp, in the dining room/reception area, the ceiling has obviously had a leak from... More

My partner and I decided on a last minute weekend break to Brighton. A lot of hotels were full and we realised this was because of a 10k run on the Sunday. We booked into the Hamptons. On arrival the hotel was being revamped and covered in scaffolding. This didn't bother us, after all it is winter and the work... More

Hamptons B, Manager at Hamptons Brighton, responded to this review

Hi Sally, Its a shame that you gave us such a low rating due to the fact we had a busy breakfast which isn't our fault. Normally everyone gets to eat within the hour but sometimes everyone does come down at the same time. We would have happily accommodated you after the allocated time if you just had asked. We... The Manager was helpful enough, start to finish was not the most pleasurable experience, first, the room wasn't ready, needed to go back, parking, none on site and you would think with all the B&B's in the area they would offer a parking token as part of your stay. Had we known there was works being carried out we would... More

I stopped in the single ensuite. First impressions were not helped by the scaffolding outside the building. The room was small, but perfectly formed. It was on the 3rd or 4th floor. No table top fridge like some of the larger rooms. It contained the bed, and bead head shelf, a small coffee table, with tea making facilities, a built... More

This family run hotel made us feel so welcome before we even arrived. Had to leave some bags at the hotel before we checked in and they were so accomodating. The hotel was clean and so close to the pier. Great location, great value for money and lovely owners. Definately recommend it for those looking to stay in a small... More
