the hosts are friendly and pay much attention to detail to ensuring your stay is a comfortable one. Love the dog who is very much a family member. It is a trek to the top rooms but I cannot fault anything else about this well ran B&B. Would definitely return.

Mark was very welcoming and even carried our cases in while we found a parking spot! He also gave us lots of information about the local area and recommended bars/restaurants etc. Our room was comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were tasty. We would definitely recommend this hotel and enjoyed our stay.

Tasty breakfast each morning. Information from Mark re the local area informative and accurate. Some minor problem with the shower but not enough to complain about. Good weather what more do you want!

What can I say about this hotel, it was fresh, clean, bright with a warm friendly welcome. Although it was just for a short break and we only stayed a couple of nights it's definitely somewher that we'll come again. It's just a two minute walk to the seafront and 5 minutes to the centre of Brighton with everything that... More

We arrived at the hotel at midday and was welcomed by Mark who was very friendly and helped us to the room on the 2nd floor. Breakfasts were very nice and the choice was sufficient, and they certainly attract a very nice customer

Have just returned from a lovely weekend in Brighton staying at the Alvia. We were greeted by Mark who offered us a cup of tea, helped us with the parking permits and even carried a case for us from the car to the room. Un utter gentleman. The room we had, looked out to the front road, which is a... More

A lovely hotel with really nice hosts. The breakfast was really well cooked with the nicest poached eggs I have ever had in a hotel! We were made to feel welcome, given a good introduction to the sights and enjoyed all the recommendations Mark gave us. Thank-you

Hi Nadine Thanks for taking the time to post your remarks. I don't know that we can call it a review as it's basically an inaccurate and ill mannered rant. I shan't respond to the points you made but will refer you to the many positive comments we have had and, to quote you, 'it's all been said in other... More

We had a lovely stay at this charming guest house which is only a short walk from the shops, beach and a variety of restaurants and bars. The owners are very friendly and suggested some excellent places to eat and drink. The room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Breakfast freshly made to order and very tasty.
