My friend and I were visiting friends in Brighton, and needed an Hotel close to the centre of Brighton. We had not stayed at the Alvia Hotel before - and we will not stay there again. Our 'Boutique style' room was sooo small my friend and I were always in each other's way. The TV did not work. We did... more

We've stayed in Brighton before, and know how expensive it can be, so were very pleased to find the Alvia. The website description of breakfast was very tempting. The room was clean and contemporary, (and okay if you like purple), but the bathroom was the tightest space I've ever been in! We had to have breakfast at a certain time... more

We stayed here at the end of May. Having been to Brighton before a couple of times i know how hard it is to pay less than "60 a night for a double room. This B&B is not a boutique hotel like it claims, it is a nice modern clean b&b, however some ikea furniture does not make it 'boutique'.... more

To say the room was “Compact” is being generous, getting around the bed just possible and you had to place yourself strategically to open the wardrobe door. As for the bathroom, I had never seen an en-suite “shoehorned” into such a small space; you literally had to back onto the toilet because you could not turn between the loo &... more

The Alvia is a modern, tastefully decorated hotel with a warm, homely atmosphere. The hotel is in a good location - 3 mins walk to the seafront, 5/10 mins walk to Brighton pier and 15 mins walk to the main shopping area. My husband and I felt that it was a good location, but any further away and we would... more

If you are looking for a place to stay in Brighton - the Alvia Hotel is worth considering. Promoting itself as a boutique hotel, the Alvia is really a good quality Bed & Breakfast. The decor and furnishing are impressive and the room comes with a DVD/CD player - a real plus if we had planned ahead. The location is... more

This is a mix between a boutique hotel and and B & B. It has the high quality linens, dish TV and great bathroom soaps and lotions, but feels real intimate and more like your a guest of a rich friend. The location is great and close whatever scene you may be into in Brighton. By the way Brighton is... more

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for the night on a weekend. There is so much accomodation in Brighton that it is often difficult to find one that is reasonable, clean and friendly as some people will stay anywhere just to be near the beach on a good day. Happy to report that the staff are so friendly and... more
