I stayed at the AlviaHotel for three nights in a twin room. Mark and his partner were excellent hosts, with lots of local information and suggestions. The room was clean and en suite. The breakfast was ample. It was nice to get the window seat! Excellent value and with easy access to the seafront and the delights of Brighton centre.

Having checked out a number of hotels we opted for The Alvia and were glad we did .Mark and Pierre made us very welcome(despite arriving a little later than we had indicated) Our room was smallish but perfectly adequate for a short break .The room was... This hotel is a must for any visit to Brighton. It is walking distance from all the attractions and centre. The room was clean, light and big and very comfortable, albeit on the third floor, the stairs were our source of fitness!!!. The hosts and the pet dog Fred made us feel very welcome. Mark even took our suitcase up... More

Hello there I'm really pleased that you had such a good time and thanks for your kind remarks about breakfast. It is a bit of a trek to the top floor but, as you say, it can be seen as a fitness experience! all the best Mark, Pierre & Fred. More

Stayed two nights on a wowcher deal. Very friendly welcome from our hosts and this continued throughout our stay. Clean, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Within walking distance of everything you would possibly like to see in Brighton. Would definitely stay here again.

the hosts are friendly and pay much attention to detail to ensuring your stay is a comfortable one. Love the dog who is very much a family member. It is a trek to the top rooms but I cannot fault anything else about this well ran B&B. Would definitely return.

Hello Clive I'm pleased that everything was OK for you and thanks for your kind remarks. Although there are 53 stairs to the top floor rooms I hope the breakfast helped fortify you for the climb! Best wishes Mark, Pierre & Fred. More

Mark was very welcoming and even carried our cases in while we found a parking spot! He also gave us lots of information about the local area and recommended bars/restaurants etc. Our room was comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were tasty. We would definitely recommend this hotel and enjoyed our stay.

Tasty breakfast each morning. Information from Mark re the local area informative and accurate. Some minor problem with the shower but not enough to complain about. Good weather what more do you want!

What can I say about this hotel, it was fresh, clean, bright with a warm friendly welcome. Although it was just for a short break and we only stayed a couple of nights it's definitely somewher that we'll come again. It's just a two minute walk to the seafront and 5 minutes to the centre of Brighton with everything that... More
