Stayed on a Saturday night after a serious day's walking on the South Downs. The hotel is well located near the front, with an underground multi-story car park right outside (parking can be a nightmare in Brighton). Had a top floor room- and that is four flights of increasingly steep stairs to climb (which worked the tired muscles), room was... More

with some trepidation (we'd read the reviews), we checked in and were greeted by a smiley Spanish receptionist. The hotel was pretty empty. We'd been given room 16, a huge double with floor-to-ceiling windows and a view of the pier. A deliciously comfortable 6ft-wide bed with pristine linen, a newly-tiled bathroom, light-proof curtains and a fridge - what more could... More

Well it's not that it was bad but it was nothing like the write up on the home page of the website!!!! Very dated, not for modern day living at all!! Not a lot going for it, staff were ok but not the chirpiest! Fire alarm went off at 5am - not best pleased considering there wasn't a fire and... More

What the hell is this place if not hell itself, we were here for a hen-do and greeted by two devil receptionists, dirty looks, we were putting them out by having the audacity to turn up and check into the room which we had to pay for two nights even if we wanted to stay for just one. We were... More

I recently visited Brighton for a 2 day business trip (10th - 12th Sept), and stayed at the Beach Hotel. Being a TA user for over 7 years, I always check the reviews but this time decided not to, as I was travelling alone and there was no time for search. I double bedroom at the beach hotel for two... The room we had was nice and clean, the ceilings were very low but it's an old building so we expected that, the lift is ancient but it worked. The staff were helpful, you have Good sea views as the hotel is right on the sea front, and a very nice breakfast was included in the price.

Stayed in this hotel for one night to accommodate for a theatre trip (Lee Evans). The website made the hotel look, fresh, modern but this is very misleading. The hotel was very old and outdated with many carpets being old, grubby and dirty and wallpaper peeling away. The room was ok but the floors are so thin it sounded like... More

I stayed here with a friend in a twin bed room. The location is very good. Right on the water and within walking distance of the mall, pier and cinema. Wifi only in the lobby. Breakfast average - served out of a steam table. Nothing too fancy but adequate. The TV in the room was big and had many channels.... More

So a overnight stay in Brighton to celebrate the birthday of one of our friends. Deciding to stay in the same hotel as them we ended up in the Brighton Hotel. Situated opposite the bandstand on the seafront it seemed to bode well. Arrival, the entrance looked a little jaded, indeed with scaffold erected over the front of the building... More
