Hi guys, If your looking for a nice getaway stay in Brighton, i highly recommend this hotel. Me and my girlfriend just finished uni, and decided to go to Brighton for a few days. This hotel was absolutely perfect for the price and the location was brilliant. -The beach, peir and bars were across the road. -The staff were polite... More

Great Location just a few metres from the beach and city center. Excellent friendly staff. Very accommodating. Carpet in hallway and staircases good be replaced. Rooms are fine. Comfortable but could do with a paint. No Wifi in the Room only in Public areas. Guesthouse is fine for 1 or 2 night stay

It looked nice from the outside being a large Victorian property, and is close to the seafront, but inside it was a different matter. Very run-down inside, e.g. old threadbare carpets held together with sticky tape in places. I had a very small room in which very little worked (e.g. light, radiator, TV). No easy chair, or telephone to reception.... More

Truely a dismal place to stay. The stairways stink. The rooms are dilapidated, light fittings hanging off, nasty stains on the carpet, broken shower and missing pillow cases. The reception staff when we arrived could bearly be bothered to speak to us, let alone tell anything as important as when and where the breakfast we paid for was. The doors... More

After reading the reviews on trip advisor I was a bit unsure of what to expect but was very very pleasantly surprised. The hotels is in a great location, the rooms were clean, and the reception staff were always happy to help. The only problem was that it's a bit dated decor wise but it didn't bother us or affect... Stayed here in New Cosmopolitan for one night while visiting Brighton. The small hotel looks very promising from the outside, overlooking a square with a pretty green area and by the sea, but that is where the nice becomes appalling. The room I was given, room 5 was probably the worst standard of Hotel room I have ever ever seen... More

Why oh why didn't I listen to previous reviews, but I gave the New Cosmopolitan the benefit of the doubt. Sadly the only good thing about this establishment is the location. Not only was the place tatty, I would question the safety, i.e. ripped carpets causing a trip hazard. I also witnessed a fire extinguisher being used to hold a... More

The best thing about the hotel the amazing view from the room I stayed in, good staff and location. But as a regular visitor to the area I would not return to this hotel the room smelt awful and I had to sleep with the window open, tripped over the threadbare carpet making way to my room and the most... Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights and would not hesitate to go back, we had a great view of the pier and big wheel. The bed was comfy and clean, as was the room and we liked the big bay windows. Breakfast was excellent, great quality sausages and bacon, my husband commented on the sausages and asked... More

It has torn carpets, badly disjointed DIY. It needs a complete upgrade. The breakfast was over cooked, apart from warm bread that was suppose to be toast. It is such a shame, as the staff were lovely and the location is perfect. Such a huge potential.
