I booked this hotel in a hurry as it is a stones throw from my own property in Kemp Town and we had a houseful for the weekend hence our own visit. To be fair I read the reviews post booking as it was considerably cheaper than many other local hotels. We turned up very late and the new manager... More

This hotel was booked by someone else that had not checked on Trip Advisor. Big mistake! Because of our flight we were very early at the hotel. They said it was ok to leave the bags and to come back at 3:30 to check in.We were back at 3:30 and no one was at reception. There were many others waiting... More

The people who run this hotel are lovely. Polite and really helpful. BUT...as you walk in you are hit by an indeterminable smell, which doesn't go away. The reception area is filthy. The rooms are no cleaner. Me and my friends had 3 rooms between us. They all smell, they are all damp and they are dirty. The beds are... More

Given the other reviews, we certainly went with very low expectations (but it was cheap!). Our low expectations were certainly met, with a very dirty room and a bathroom that smelt like an ashtray. The beds had broken supports so you slept a funny angle. There was no door on the shower at all, or a curtain. The lack of... More

What an absolute hovel! No toilet paper for three days, no clean toilets! The website photos look inviting but what a threadbare dump. This is the most disgusting place I have evr had the misfortune to stay in. Be warned..... STAY AWAY!

Had booked to stay here for two nights while attending a wedding in Brighton, from the outside the building looks nice but first impressions here are misleading. The man at reception looked bored and once he'd explain where my room was essentially dismissed me, not a great start. The room itself was large but stank like a chain smoker had become... More

I stayed 3 nights and I will come back in the future. The location is wonderful and breakfast so good. All the staff were very polite and attentive. Nice room and bathroom was immaculate.thanks to David for his help and attention.

Absolutely awful. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Cold showers, no toilet paper for 48 hours in the shared bathroom. Plug socket hanging off the wall. Dining room looked like something out off communist era Russia. I booked it because off cost but even though it was very cheap that does not excuse the complete lack off basic hygiene.

This place is absolutely filthy! Seems as if it has not been cleaned for ages.Televisions don`t work, bulbs are missing, breakfast is served cold and carpets have mysterious stains. Do not stay there, even though location is relatively good.
