We arrived in Brighton to go to a wedding at The Hilton, we hadn't booked anywhere and thought we would try and find a guest house on arrival. After calling in on a few we decided to stay at The Ambassador as it close to the sea front. We paid £85 for the room for one night, the room was... more

Me and my girlfriend booked a last minute 2 night to brighton. The Ambassador web site itself stated 4 star the pictures looked good. I was bit concerned when reading the reviews on this site. Ok when we got there we was very impressed with the location next to everything, parking was good aswel £5 voucher and you park few... more

We have had to stay in Brighton's Ambassador hotel only for 1 night, to our luck. It was the worst and at the same time the most overpriced accomodation I've ever been to. Firstly, we have paid additionally about 20 pounds for a "room with a view", which was just lie. To see something nice from the window you would... more

The hotel is nothing fancy, to say the least. it's poorly furnished, old and crumbly and have an old smell to it. The rooms are clean enough, and there are some treats in the shower. The shower didn't give much warm water and at times no water at all - an unpleasant experience if you have shampoo all over your... more

Stayed at this hotel for my sisters hen night - we were really worried having read previous reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. room was clean and fresh. great towels, decent beds with good linen. Bathroom on the small side and needs updating but is very clean. shower not that powerful but it works. There were 14 of us in total... more

The Ambassdor is an old-fashioned 'English seaside' sort of hotel, with rickety staircases and poky rooms. The staff were generally courteous and the breakfast was very good. Otherwise, though, it's the kind of place you might have stayed at in 1980s if you were short of money. Which would all be fine if they didn't have the cheek to charge... more

Thank goodness we only had to put up with this awful place for only one night. The room was tired and tatty, dreadful old fashioned decor and not even clean, the TV faulty, the windows had not been cleaned we suspect this year and the attitude of the owner when confronted with our comments says it all. "Well that's your... more

I came down to Brighton for the weekend on my own and found it absolutely delightful! Being from the states and currently living in London, i wanted the chance to experience other parts of the lovely England. The Ambassador Hotel on 23 New Steine was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and hospitable and the guests... more

On the whole the hotel was a good choice for location and a really excellent breakfast choice, although if you wanted vegan or vegetarian you didn't always get it on the first try!! The hotel is marked as a 4* but we thought it was shabby with the wallpaper in the rooms peeling and lumpy beds. The rooms were clean... more
