We stayed at this guest house in June 2013. Our journey to the establishment was spoilt by numerous texts and pestering phone calls from the owner asking when we would arrive. On arrival, the owner spoke to us like school children and was un-welcoming. He told us about the area and when we thought he had finished he rudely said... More

I booked to stay in another hotel but upon arrival realised very quickly it was not how it was described, it was absolutely awful, as I was with my daughter I phoned around frantically to find somewhere else, I found this, booked to arrive the following day and paid the deposit. Arrived and checked in with a lovely woman. Got... More

The owner of this hotel is the most rude person I have ever spoken to! We wanted to book a room and asked for check in/out time. He said "We don't want people to check in after 4pm so you have to come in before 4pm" As our arrival time at Brighton was at 4:30pm so I asked if there... More

Stayed here recently with my partner and will never be going back. This is a decent place, nice room, good location and could be as previously stated, a real gem if it weren't for the appalling attitude of the owner who blatantly has no interest in running the business any longer. As written before in another review, the sarcastic attitude... More

Lovely location, nice rooms, friendly. We have stayed maybe 6 times, and enjoyedit each time. The house is clean, modern and well equipped. We have always enjoyed the breakfast, but not this time. They have changed to 'continental', a couple of croissants or cereal. No deli meats, cheese or yogurt. Not really what we expected. A real shame as it... More

Quick review on this one, we stayed one night, first weekend of 2014 - Saturday. First impressions - good, friendly owner, explained a bit about the hotel, sorted the car parking easily enough, nice location, no complaints. Bedroom - excellent. We had the 4-poster room, number 5, really lovely...could even see the sea if you turned sideways! Mini bar was... More

We stayed at Hudsons as our usual choice of hotel in Brighton was fully booked, we weren't sure what to expect but it was lovely. Centrally located, great service and parking at an extra cost. Breakfast was lovely and there is wifi. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

My wife liked it-good quality modern decor, good price. I didn't-feet hung over end of bed (I'm only 5ft9-medium), could hear neighbour singing through the wall (early eve), bathroom door had visible gap on hinge side. Though note this was the loft room, so of course was a bit cramped. These were just minor nuisances. What spoilt it for me... More
