This hotel seems to be one of the unknown gems in Brighton. I had stayed at Gullivers before but, since I had left my booking late, I didn't expect to get a room. Thankfully I did. It is a small hotel situated very to close to the sea front. My initial impression on booking-in was how friendly and helpful the... more

My partner and I have just arrived home after a weekend at the Gullivers Hotel, Brighton, and I guest I am not going to be the first guess to be taken in by the website. On arriving at the hotel we where greeted by a very friendly receptionist, offering us a glass of Pims (very nice). We where told that... more

I cannot fault this hotel at all, the staff were all soo lovely, and very friendly and would do anything for you to make your stay the best ever. Everyone was extremely helpful, the rooms were lovely decorated, the hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend anyone wanting to visit brighton for a long... more

This was my first visit to Brighton and I must say the location of Gullivers is excellent - only about a 10 minute walk from the centre. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. As I was on holiday with my mother who is in her 90's (!!!) they put us in a room on the ground floor... more

I guess I am not the first traveller to be taken in by a slick website and probably won't be the last. Personal opinion is that this place considerably oversells it's less than modest offerings. Whilst the staff are helpful, the surroundings appear tired and cheap suggesting little attention to detail has been paid to the 'recent refurbishment'. The seventies... more

Great location, very quiet side road but 2 minute walk to sea front at the bottom of the road, and very near the pier and the sea life centre. The staff were very friendly and informative about the area, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent. The choices were full English, vegetarian, vegan, continental (pain au chocolat, croissant... more

My boyfriend booked a night in this hotel recently as a midweek Valentines getaway, he told me that the rooms looked really nice on the website, however, I did not check the website out before we went. When we arrived at the hotel I thought the location was great, right by the beach front and the hotel looked nice from... more

I was travelling on my own, and stayed one night..after seeing that it had a 4* rating, which is an absurd rating for the room I received. It was the worst bed I have slept on in my life, it was so uncomfortable that I had to wrap myself in the duvet as a buffer between me and the bed... more

We decided we were going to have a last minute romantic weekend break and trawled loads of complicated web sites....Gullivers/New Steine was a great site and lured me into calling the hotel to clarify some details prior to booking........the reception received on the phone was second to none and very personal....and very helpful...needless to say we arrived a few days... more

Certainly not the 'boutique hotel' as advertised. State of hotel very poor. They were doing renovations but even so. Very small room, with cheap thin mattress. Call me picky, but I feel a good bed is an absolute requisite for any hotel- esp at these prices! Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast poor. Packet pancakes served lukewarm. Hotel is in a... more
